I know, I know, Pride is dead.

I'll probably be flamed for making this comparison.

Just the epic nature of the card and something about Lesnar/Hunt and Cormier/Silva just makes it feel like we are in the Twilight Zone.

As much as I as as looking forward to Jones/Cormier 2 I fee like this bizzaro card is going to be even more interesting.

Am I nuts or does this feel like a Pride card?

Some similarities between this card and shockwave 2004
1.A legend named Silva takes a short notice fight against a bigger opponent(Wand vs Hunt, Anderson vs DC)
2. Hunt and Anderson both fought on shockwave 04 as well (Anderson loses to chonan, Hunt beats Wand)
3. An American HW wrestler sparks interest(Brocks return, Rulon Gardner has his only MMA fight on shockwave)

Probably the horsemeat fueled, main event and co-main freakshow fights giving you that vibe.
