First of all RDA vs Conor wasn't even being talked about that much. The hype was very underwhelming.

Then Nate Diaz showed up, then all of a sudden people are hyping it up...Their is controversy in the press conferences. The shit talking Diaz brought.

"playing touch butt" Line probably sold 500k PPV's....tbh.

RDA vs Conor would've sold 1 million PPV's at best.


Anyways people have bought into this narrative that Conor is the mayweather of MMA...That Conor alone sells the PPV's...The UFC makes it seem that way but lets look at all his PPV fights.

Featured Weidman vs Rockhold TitleFight....Plus a whole year of Aldo vs McGregor UFC hype

Featured Holly Holm vs Meisha Tate Title Fight.....Holly Holm became huge after KTFO Ronda.


Do you see a pattern? McGregor can't sell shit by himself...He is not GSP....Rarely did GSP get Co-MainEvent title fights...GSP sold PPV's by himself.



It's easier to sell a shitload of PPV's when you have Co-Main Event Title Fights + Nate Diaz shit talking.

From my experience, I have to say you're wrong. I go to the same place to watch all the fights, and their is a very clear pattern. The house is absolutely jam packed any time Ronda or Conor fight. For all other events, the crowd is pretty unremarkable.
