seems like it doesnt get brought up enough. It was overshadowed by 194 being one of the UFCs biggest cards ever despite 195 being a New Year's card pretty much (January 2nd) and 195 ended up being a far better card
Lawler/Condit - nuff said, alltime gureat fight and one of the GOAT rounds in the 5th. Last fight on the card ended with both guys hands on the cage, exhausted. Fitting end for a top 10 card in UFC history
Tumenov/Larkin, Ortega/Brandao, Poirier/Duffy, Dober/Holtzman, Mayday/Kanehara, Soto/Tanaka were all good to awesome fights. Many couldve won FOTN on other cards TBH
Tumenov/Larkin was one of the most technical standup fights of the year.
Ortega was down 0-2 and pulled a rabbit out of his ass with the comeback finish against Brandao
Mayday was also down against Kanehara, was getting arm triangled and managed an insane transition to RNC. One of the best reversals Ive seen in some time
Poirier/Duffy was a fun, bloody fight altho alot of it was Dustin beating on 14-1 Joe and ending the hype train. Poirier got a broken nose from the fight and Duffy got the Terminator eye for many weeks
Soto/Tanaka was a really fun back and forth fight, very even for the most part. Many thought Soto won but it couldve went either way depending how u scored the 1st. Soto came close to finishing and mightve standing if the 3rd went on a bit longer, and had a deep choke in the 1st but Tanaka was far more active for most of the 1st. Soto came on late in the 3rd and really turned it on but didnt do enough in rds 1 or 2 for the judges
Only bad fight was the WMMA fight (surprise surprise) and Noke/Morono was mediocre and ended up being a robbery. Trujillo, Stipe and Westcott all got early finishes in the 1st, and Stipe/Arlovski was pretty much #1 contender to fight Werdum
