UFC 189 testosterone levels

A fake account for this?

They make the test easy to pass because they only want the illusion of testing. This goes for all sports.

Steroids don't make much of a difference anyways. I don't think you'd win on steroids if you were gonna lose without them. Stupid. This is fighting not power lifting.

I can't see that link but I've been puzzled by stuff on tests as well. Is it possible that Quest Labs fucked up the units? I mean we are talking about things being off by orders of magnitude.

that's silly. So-let's say that steroids are more impactful in power lifting. That means they don't make much of a difference in fighting? No.

Link doesnt work for me.

Do you really believe that?

Well, I think he's trying to say that steroids aren't going to give you skill and technique. That is true.

but they will make you lighter/heavier (as you wish), considerably stronger, faster, enhanced recovery etc....

Troll? What about EPO? How many fighters have lost because they gassed?

Nm that's steroids, not PEDs

@bluetrail .pdf isn't loading. Can you post a screenshot?

Which fighters specifically are you referring to? Robbie and Conor, right? I remember their T levels being beyond godly, whereas Chad and Rory had completely acceptable numbers.

Dude I hate to burst your bubble but EVERYBODY (this is my own personal opinion) is on something.

Well you're right but still don't know what you're talking about. They do add definite improvements to your performance, there is no debate at all to this or else nobody would ever take them. Second their main benefit comes in the fact that you can train 6+ hours a day full throttle, whereas the natural gifted athlete will burn out after a few weeks going 1-2 hours full throttle every other day.

What are you talking about? Upper end is under 11. Who on these tests is sitting at 50 plus?

all we can really say about this is that hopefully we're in a new era. The more testing is done, the more USADA will catch onto and call out "funny business"

In terms of reading all this stuff and levels, you definitely have to look at the units very closely..

Uh, yeah, so fighters just risk missing major chunks of their careers, tarnishing their legacy, and losing tons of income so that they can take a substance that ...

...

doesn't work. Makes total sense, Sherbro.

Maybe, just maybe steroids ALSO enhance your ability to utilize "technique" in that it can make you cover distance faster, it can increase your core strength, it will increase your punching/kicking power, it will allow you to brute force out of clinch/grappling situations easier.

Not to mention androgens increase neck musculature which can help you absorb punches to a degree. There is literally not one aspect of MMA that steroids don't help.

Such bullshit statements to be honest.
Those are all power and speed related though, not skill/technique related.

At times, we have fighters sitting at over 5x the upper range for adult male testosterone levels. I would have to inject a humongous 1g dose of testosterone per week to reach those blood levels, yet I wouldn't get busted for steroids on these tests as long as my T:E ratio is in check. That's just ridiculous.

And no, it is not physiologically possible to reach these sort of levels even if you are a so-called "genetic freak brah".

Actually, a gram would have you over 10x what a normal man produces. normal men produce about 100 mg per week. A gram is 1000 mg.

Holy God, the ignorance is making it's rounds today. Did you not see Vitor Belfort on TRT? The dude was an absolute savage. Not only did he look like a mutant, his strikes were almost inhumane.

But I digress, Steroids don't make a difference when it comes to putting power behind punches. /s..
