Let's take a break from the Kennedy-Romero controversy, the McGOAT shots to the head, and whatever.

After all the hype UFC 178 delivered

MM finished poor Caruso.

McGregor finished Porier easly.

Cerrone-Alvarez was a great scrap, which ultimatley showed Cerrone using his knees and kicks to slow down Alvarez and avoid him from coming in with body shots

Kennedy-Romero was super exciting and edge of the seat, the stoolgate added some spice to the batshit crazy turnaround from Tim Kennedy at the last round.

Zingano-Nunes was a war, after Zingano getting beat up in the GNP, took it and came back, throwing too DDT and smashing Nunes and ending in brutal elbows from the mount.

Cruz-Mizugaki, after 3 horrible years of rehab and being stripped of his title, Cruz went there like a teen on abstinence and blew his load on Mizugaki, dismanteled the top 5 fighter like it was nothing, and proved why he was the rightful champion, hell he even looked better than ever, after an ACL surgery.

In the other fights Masvidal won a decision against Krause, very technical battle but Masvidal getting the better shots and outwrestling Krause.

Thomson-Cote had Thomson start slow but picking it up at the later rounds and picking Cote apart easly, but he missed an opportunity to KO cote. Still a good technical fight by Thomson, he had already 2 wins by KO so we can pass it.

Ebersole-Doomsday, showed why you have to pull the trigger more. Don't remember much but not an interesting fight. I LOLed when Ebersole won, it was a draw or whatever for me.

Tuck-Lee was good scrap but the nutshots broke the rhythm, Lee easly beat Tuck, Tuck has a nice guard and threatened with submissions but got GNP badly.

Gamburyan-Gibson was crazy, with nutshots from both sides and wild hooks thrown which made them trip from swinging so hard, and the hail mary guillotine. Don't forget Manny calling out Bryan with Ronda at his side.

Fucking good card.

Good card. All of the fouls and controversies kind of left a bad taste in my mouth though.

Amazing card top to bottom. Definitely from Cruz fight on was outstanding.

The fights I didn't enjoy last night was:

Tuck vs. Lee
Howard vs. Ebersole (This fight was so bad!)
Cote vs. Thompson

Didn't watch any of those. lol

Don't forget the glovegate.

Eww lol

Completely agree. Great card.

Seeing Cruz run through Mizugaki was incredible.

So glad Cat pulled out the win. Really brought the feels.

Cowboy executed a great gameplan (minus him eating shots from the clinch)

stoolgate was a clusterfuck which ended in dramatic fashion

And MM is still an incredible fighter.

Another exciting card yet you'll still see the same people claim that the UFC is full of point fighting and lay n' pray.

Underwhelming main event. Cariaso never stood a chance.

Cerrone-Alvarez was a great scrap, which ultimatley showed Cerrone using his knees and kicks to slow down Alvarez and avoid him from coming in with body shots

It's been a while since a fighter has collapsed to the ground from leg kicks like that. Made it an even more memorable fight to me.

Gibson looked unbelievable until he got caught in that guillotine. He's got a bright future.

The only snoozer of the night was Ebersole/Howard. Otherwise a mighty fine card.

I don't remember such an exciting event since Strikeforce times, especially if you consider Cruz' return fight as a part of the main card.

Indeed a really awesome card it kept building momentum from the Cruz finish on the prelims, and the Romero/Kennedy fight it was a really memorable night.

Agreed. UFC 178 was a fantastic night of fights.

Ebersole/Doomsday was the only fight that really disappointed me. I thought stylistically they'd be able to put on a show, that wasn't the case.

And I'm glad to eat my words.. McGregor is legit. He's far from GOAT but this guy has a lot of promise and his charisma is infectious.

It was like a great night of sex.

This morning?

Satisfied.

still can't get over how great Cruz looked

as a huge fan of his I couldn't be more excited with his return, he is getting that belt back

The prelims on this card could've been a main event for a non PPV card, it was that good!
