Aside from the top 3 fights on the card I would like to know what you think when it comes to the rest of the card, poor matchmaking by joe and sean?? I think not. We are given great lower weight fights that are guaranteed in my book to be exciting as hell. This card actually shaped up nicely. Not much in terms of title contention fights but a lot of midtier fighters rising to the top and WEC vets that never disappoint. Fights I'm fckn stoked for: Takeya Mizugaki v Francsiso Rivera Jamie Varner v James Krause Tony Ferguson vs Kastunori Kikuno Anthony Njokuani vs Vinc Pichel Fights I'm less excited but still want to see: Michael Chiesa vs Francisco Trinaldo Chris Holdsworth vs Chico Camus Sam Sicila vs Aaron Phillips (Phillps might open some eyes like Alex White did) What ya say guys good card!?
Meh I found that lightly amusing It's a great WEC card IMO. If your not amped that's fine but I'm a hardcore fan
This. I get amped for every UFC event. And to answer your question, all the matchmaking in the UFC these days is great, and it's done by the 2 greatest matchmakers in the world. I laugh at any of you guys who say the UFC make bad matchups. They know exactly what they're doing.
Barao-Dillashaw, Hendo-Cormier, Lawler and Ellenberger, plus a ton of exciting match ups = not ppv worthy.
So many things wrong with this thread. First of all, why aren't you hyped to see chiesa? The guy finished iaquinta. He is legit. Second, why aren't you hyped to see holdsworth? The guy has finished everyone he has ever fought, and dominated everyone on TUF. Third, how the fuck has alex white opened eyes by KO'ing a non-UFC level fighter in a minute? Fourth, no mention of iaquinta and jiangliang? *blows brains out*
^^this. For ppl that only buy/get interested based on the main event, I understand that they pass this one, although Barao is a must-watch everytime IMO. But the rest of the card is filled with relevant or intriguing matches, with little chances of stinkers.
What the hell does a little chance of stinker mean? How the fuck does anyone know in advance which fights are likely or unlikely to be stinkers? People thought edgar/maynard 2 was going to be a stinker for fucks sake. Who thought schaub/lavar was going to suck?
Exactly, and even if every single fight ends in a spectacular knockout it still wasn't a PPV quality card. You PAY money for the NAMES, I never get why people don't understand that.
