UFC 173 Free Fight: Jake Ellenberger vs Nate Marquardt

God damn. I hadn't actually seen this fight before.
 
I so wanted Nate to pull off one more Tekken combo.
 
Nate has been fighting since 1999...everyone has their time
 
Nate had plenty of opportunity to get a strap... would have liked to see him get it once.
 
Damn. Jake is a beast.

I actually have him beating Robbie.
 
Thanks TS, I never caught this fight till now. Can't believe that Marquardt was protesting that stoppage.
 
Good fight, Jake did a good job cutting off the cage and cornering Nate.

Hope Nate does well back at 185, always fun to watch.
 
Man ellenberger is a killer. He's gonna be the next title-holder at WW IMO.
 
I never realized how well Nate was doing before the KO until now

I've always thought he had the real potential to get the belt even while GSP was champ and now his chances along with everyone elses though go up. He just needs to keep a cool head on him and not have a repeat of his Rory performance.

One of the sickest KOs.

Jake is one of my favorite fighters, especially after watching his war with Condit. But I don't think he becomes champ, his performance never seem to be steady enough. When he is on though, man is it awesome to watch!
