UFC 169: Barao vs. Faber II POST-FIGHT PRESS CONFERENCE DISCUSSION

I said it elsewhere but Urijah was very classy in defeat. He's a good guy. Barao looked incredible.

Frank Mir didn't look great but i think he should get another shot. I think going the distance earned it.

Aldo looked great imo even if some think he's boring.

The Able VS Varner fight was fun and the Lee VS Raging Al fight was fun.

The rest was blah and this card broke the record for the most decisions.

People can't expect every card to be good. The UFC has events like this every now and then.

After tonight, Barao is the best fighter under 155 in my eyes.

After a stinker event like that I wouldn't waste I min on the presser that's for sure.

he went the distance due to overeem not really going for the finish imo. he looked hopeless out there. with that said who should he fight?

im upset with the stoppage only based on the fact that some people will take away from renan's victory by saying it was early. even if the ref gave urijah more time, i'm pretty confident that barao had that fight in the bag and would of got the finish anyway.

would of liked to see faber unconscious completely, but hey, i'm actually surprised that faber was so classy in defeat, props to that.

Really wish Faber would have gotten a chance to recover. Yes he was hurt but he was holding on to a leg and Barao wasn't really putting devastating GNP on him. What's done is done though, Barao is a beast. Is it true that he's going up to 145 when Aldo goes to 155? That would be pretty interesting. Hopefully he gets to fight Cruz before moving up

What was Faber to do in that position? He was completely blocking every shot and if he moved he would have been hit with clean shots. Usually in situations like that we see the guy on top move to another position after realizing that his strikes aren't effective.

I wouldn't argue if it wasn't the HW division. HW's should always have room for guys who can't win the title but can make good fights.

He was asking for Bigfoot last year and saying how he'd like to fight him. I think that could be a great fight.

If Schaub loses again they could fight. Werdum if he loses to Cain.

A Gonzaga fight right now could be good. I think they could all be competitive fights still.

What are you smoking?

just cuz there were some decisions it was bad?

there were 2 title fights, barao obviously was exciting and aldo/lamas had a very entertaining technical fight so i'm not upset that it went 5 rounds.

the only fight that wasn't too great was the lineker fight but that one was still not bad.

mir vs overeem went to decision but it was very technical as well and overeem landed a million bombs, i was entertained by that one too.

lastly, the best fight was varner vs trujillo. what a war and an awesome come from behind win.

people label cards bad just because there were decisions but i was not disappointed with this card at all.

Aldo just asked for Pettis and says he's not sure there's a challenge at 145 left in the Combate exclusive post-fight interview. Make it happen Dana!

Me gusta. I think Chad Mendes would be a challenge but Aldo already beat him so w/e.

I think it will happen for sure. 4th of July.

let's hope there are no injuries. Pettis vs Aldo is a dream fight that I've been wanting to see more than any other. What makes it even more awesome is that the fight actually makes complete sense too, it's not just some random superfight.

I think he will make it happen. Dana mentioned a couple of days ago that that is the fight that makes sense if Aldo wants it. Have Mendes vs. Swanson fight it out for FW title when Aldo vacates it.
