Maybe. Phil's athletic enough to learn to strike but against Vinny, his striking looked horrible. At the very least he should learn to throw in volume to set up his power double. His grappling is amazing.

I know , at times he doesn't look comfortable throwing punches and kicks but like you said he needs to use it like smoke and mirrors to make his TDs more effective, he is great when he gets a hold of guys but his Double is not that quick, its powerful but if he doesn't set it up , Machida will be able to defend it easily.

I think he looks great throwing kicks very comfortable and throws power into them. I think his hands look horrible though. It also looks like he can't take a hit very well. Seems to really make him shut down mentally.

Wow, Serginho by KO/TKO? I'm hoping all the time training with Shogun, Dida and Massaranduba has helped his standup a lot, but it's still a difficult scenario to picture. Him winning by sub is almost a lock but I'm not sure about Magny's skills
