With all the fuss over Moussasi vs Gus and the fight getting changed this seems to have flown under the radar.

For UFC 161 Barao vs Wineland the "Interim" label seems to have been dropped from Barao's title

Does this mean Cruz is no-longer champ?

I don't know if he has been stripped of the belt, but the show must go on and not having the word "interim" will help it sell better. I have my doubts about this being the real poster, or at least the final one. For starters, Rashad is in the red corner vs Henderson.
 
I really want Wineland to win this fight. My favorite fighter at BW currently, next to McDonald.

But it's probably nothing. Cruz is the real BW champ until Barao (or Wineland) beats him.

I think its the best way to go personally, if they strip Cruz it means his first fight back in 18+months isnt going to be with a killer like Renan and gives the UFC time to build a "super" fight or at least a tie that will bring some much needed interest to the BW division

I read that card out thinking they would start with the big fights and I was thinking I barely know any of these guys.
But on full viewing this should be a great card.

probably should have picked a photo of him dominating a BW rather than the FLW champ?

still agree with what you say. Barao was more dominant against Faber though

I am pretty sure he can still gets an instata-shot, hell its the UFC baby they can do what they want.

But I think the warm up is likely, they like Cruz, nice looking well spoke white boy who can talk some trash, Renan isn't a looker and poor english, the UFC would much prefer Cruz as champ but no matter he never takes the belt off Renan (future p4p No1 in my eyes).

I was going to but that suplex was to nice to pass up. I'll agree with that as well. That's just a styles issue I believe. I am absolutely dying for a Cruz vs Barao fight. If Dom returns in full form then I think i'll say he takes it by SD.
 
How the fuck are both Shogun/Nog and Hendo/Rashad both happening and this is my first time knowing about it!?
 
You dont fight for 2 years and your still champ, cruz may be the best fighter without fighting.
