Is he really that good?? Or is he really just very tall and heavy?? His defense seems to be just to bend backward where his opponent cannot reach his head. I can’t get behind that. I much more enjoy fighter of equal size!!

Fury moves really well for a man of his size, he's a good boxer but he also spends a lot of time fighting people no one cares about and calling everyone else a bum.

Plus did you know he overcame depression and he's the lineal champ? If you didn't, ESPN is on their way to tell you that 100x

All He does is lean back?

Well I'm turning pro. Obviously if I lean back I will win. Post later when I win the belts. Thanks TS

He has good head movement, you may want to rewatch his fights.

Yep, defence is as simple as just bending back. Just like knocking guys out is easy, you just need to punch them in the face.

Easy dude, it only works if you’re a giant and have a huge size and reach advantage!
If only it was that easy!

I mean, defensively he's the best Heavyweight around (though he got hit plenty in his last outing). He does move his head and as you can see from the GIFs it was on a swivel at times during the Wilder fight. Wladimir could hardly lay a glove on him and that's not an exaggeration. Wilder struggled mightily to hit him too. Fury largely neutralized both of their greatest strengths with his craft and defensive prowess. He was at his best against Wladimir who had one of the most effective jabs and right hands in the sport.

I heard him say he based some of his style off Naseem Hamed who was probably the flashiest British boxer when he was growing.

Nowhere near the punching power P4P though.

Naseem was a born puncher. They say he was crushing older people in the gym at an extraordinarily young age.

His combination of movement and power is quite unique but he'd fuck around too much.

Naseem is like an NBA player who routinely makes spectacular plays like alley oops and blocking shots....but he can't just fit in to a team because at his level it's boring and restrictive.

I've heard almost unanimously that he's a huge dickhead

I think it was @Jonny Ninja who dealt with him and didn't have favorable things to say

my opinion about any heavyweight today is that most of them are not that talented. fury is about the best of the lot in terms of his skills and his mobility for a man his size. Wilder put him down twice, no arguments there but he was being totally dominated outside of that. We don't have an outstanding class of heavyweights today but, i think that they don't have to be to be entertaining. ruiz, joshua, fury, wilder, all can make some fantastic fights even with the amateurish overtones.
