Deadpool trailer reviewer knew exactly who Gina was in that scene with Ryan Reynold where he quipped about Gina being a much angrier Rosie. We all know thats why ronda wants cyborg at 135. It won't be the same cyborg. Just like if ronda dropped to 125, she wouldn't be as good either. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. That being said cyborg would still probably beat ronda at 135 and would crush her at 140-145. The truth is it should be at 140. Why is it all of a sudden acceptable to call someone out and want them to come down in weight? When any man has ever cleaned his division out he moves up to challenge himself but some how its ok for ronda top puss out and call someone down. Ridiculous. No more than its acceptable for a heavier fighter (Cyborg) to call out a lighter fighter (Rousey) and tell her to go up in weight to fight. The fact is, both should stop talking about the other, its getting old, and its sounds silly either way - both will take the fight if the other changes weight. Its beyond silly; you don't ask someone else to change weight for your benefit, either smaller to bigger or bigger to smaller.

If Rousey isn't willing to go above 135 she should stop answering questions about Cyborg. If Cyborg isn't willing to go to 135 she should stop answering questions about Rousey.

They're both guilty of expecting the other to change their weight to please them. That means for a fight at equal cage time weight either Rousey has to put on muscle, or Cyborg has to lose muscle. They're not sisters, they didn't save each others lives. Neither owes the other anything, so why would either change their muscle mass for the other?

Basically they're not the same size (they could both make the same weight if they were). So one has to change muscle mass to be the same size. That takes a lot of time for an elite athlete, time in which they can't even be active (GSP estimated it'd take him a year to put on 15 pounds of muscle to fight Anderson at 185, and it'd take women longer than that).

The only other option is not changing muscle mass, meaning either a drained Cyborg at 135, or a small Rousey at 140 or 145 - neither of which is interesting. Interesting is if they've the same lean body mass.

There is no point in making a fight at a weight where there is no division to rule. Nobody wants more female weightclasses unless a new crop of contenders show up. It is pretty obvious that Cyborg is the reason the fight hasn't happened. She has ducked/ran, lied and changed her mind a hundred times about nearly everything you can think of over the last four years to the point that nothing she says or does can be taken seriously.

Cyborg is just too psychologically attached/addicted to her muscle mass to let it go. She knows she can keep her name in the headlines by barking at Ronda from a distance, while never having to actually take the fight.

Cyborg has no leverage to dictate the terms. Ronda is going nowhere, she is a stationary target, if Cyborg wants the fight, she knows where she has to go to get it.

The only conclusion was that she JUST DIDN'T WANT THE FIGHT, since she could have clearly cut the weight.

So lose five pounds of muscle from where you were before and make the fight. The UFC wasn't willing to make a catchweight fight for Carano ("White made it clear that if such a fight would happen, it would have to occur at 135 pounds."), so they sure aren't going to make one for you.

No it isn't. The margin between the few women who have any talent whatsoever across all the weight classes and organizations, and the rest of the field is huge.
The other 99% are just pathetic. Any attempt to quantify how bad they are is meaningless.
The stone ages of the UFC pitted art vs. art. We had bjj vs. karate and kung fu vs. sumo. In WMMA we have art teacher vs. librarian or secretary vs. graphic designer. It is compelling.
