Woodley says that although Tony is a beast in his own right, he just doesn't think that he will be able to stop the takedowns and top control of Nurmegomedov.

Tyron also shoots down fans suggesting he should fight Khabib:

I am not as sure as the rest that he will get beyond Tony, however he is a hell of a match up for anyone.
Either way the two best in the division are fighting cannot wait to see who comes out on top.

Although I understand why Khabib is the favorite, I also think quite a bit of the MMA community is sleeping on, and writing Tony off in this fight.

His toughness, cardio, and well-roundedness makes him a live dawg in this fight, imo.

I do think Khabib will probably dominate him early with wrestling and control, but I think the longer the fight goes on, things will get interesting.

Although I respect Woodleys honesty, he would likely maul Khabib. Too big and strong, take down defense is too good.

Tony is a legit badass. That's real. Khabib is something different entirely. He will get his hands on you. It doesn't matter what you do. He then will control and beat you and there really isn't anything you can do about it. It's fascinating really.

I honestly don't see anyone at 55 with a chance and at 170, until I have some reason to believe otherwise, he'll do the same damn thing. God, I hope he stays healthy.

I hate Cryron Woodley with a passion but he would kill Kalabib. Kalabib is way too hittable and Woodley has power.

So much this. Khabib is going to bleed in this fight, Tony is relentless and dangerous everywhere.
 
Loving this. Money gets right and will solidify Tony's goatness after he wrecks khabib.

Hope all people think this maybe we can drive Tony to +400 like Nate was vs connie.

I don't get the whole longer the fight goes on crap. Khabib has never gassed in a fight. Dude trains in the mountains. He has cardio for days.

Agree that is Tony's only shot. If Khabib gets tired of pounding on him, Tony could rise from the ashes like Sakuraba and get some miracle finish.

It's the only way. Tony has heart and cardio, but lacking the skill to beat Khabib.
