US gov. orders American Sof members to remove the pathes. Some Americans may be against US forces wearing the patches of any groups / entity that is not American but ....in this case they should have let it slide, just to piss off the Turks.

I think they are just paying their respects to the Kurds who have valiantly fought againts ISIS.
 
Respect to the Kurds, but American soldiers shouldn't be using another group's badges. The fact you're there helping them is enough of a sign of solidarity.

Now...

I would have told Turkey you don't like it then do something about it. They would have not done shit.
 
Turkey needs to learn to shut up and keep their displeasure to themselves.
 
Most likely they were putting on the patches to blend in, which is what SF is supposed to do.

If they stand out they are much more of a target.

But why worry about US life's when politics and hurting the feelings of the ass hole in charge of Turkey is so important.

LOL at Turkey calling the US " two faced ".

The US should remind Turkey about the scores of ISIS fighters that were allowed by Turkey to use Turkey as a crossover point. Or how Turkey is supporting the Jihadi Sunnis.

The problem is the US gov. doesn't hit back with similarilty stinging criticism.

What has the sarcastic "apology tour" meme got to do with Turkey attacking the US for the SOF patches?

As for the US gov. not responding back : this is the State Department's field. Obama responding would be breaching protocol.

1 or 2 Israeli senior politicians have made racist jibes against Obama , but Obama never reciprocated. I guess the US / Western countries feel they shouldn't be reciprocating in kind to stinging criticism.
 
All he had to do was pick up the phone and tell the Secretary of defense not to worry about Turkey if the patches were worn to blend in.

The have a no comment if asked or say SF must blend in to do their job.

SF go native all the time in their job.
