This place is becoming like yahoo news now. F’ing bitches

Russia benefiting from the pullout is okay because they got a lot of sand over there to play with.

"They did well when they fought with us and they didn't do so well when they didn't fought with us" well that's true.

They were instrumental in successfully operation in fighting ISIS and carried the heavy load of causalities. Now hundreds of ISIS have been free.

We need the desert fox to rise up from grave and show some blitzkrieg tactics

That guy would have been in egypt by now

The best fighters against ISIS have been the SAA and the PMU.

obama crested ISIS by arming al qaeda in Syria. He then called ISIS the “JV team” to justify not stopping the illegal war against Syria.

Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Don't be a fool, tear down the wall. I'll call you later.

"Turkish invasion force gets whooped in Syria" is a far cry from "The Republic of Turkey being attacked in an act of war."

If Erdogan plans to spin that at the NATO meeting in an attempt to invoke Article 5's mutual-defense provision, I think he's going to be in for a rude awakening.

"An attack on one NATO country is an attack on all NATO countries", but no one is really attacking the country of Turkey now, are they? The Syrians just want to kick the uninvited and fully-armed Turkish guests out of their own home, with a little help from the BFF that they previously invited over to hangout.

Doesn't he want to invoke the article 5 against the Kurds linked to the PKK, which have conducted guerilla warfare in turkey and are allegedly linked to the kurds in northern Syria?

I'm thinking we could use a separate thread on "What Donald Trump thinks about Turkey vs. Syria/Russia Today" for all the folks who are here for the sole purpose of talking about what Trump thinks, even though it's entirely irrelevant to the subject matter at this point - just like the West's involvement in this conflict itself.

That way the rest of us can focus on what's actually happening on the ground between Turkey/Syria/Russia. Things that actually matters. Lord knows it's already hard enough to tell real news from fake news as it is, without the endless stream of utterly pointless loud noises constantly being thrown into the mix.

Honestly.

This is an opportunity for some serious geopolitical conversation as this unravels except it's being used to whine about Donald Trump.

He abandons the Kurds and to add insult to injury says "they are no angels"
They never claimed to be angels but they are far better than most in the region.

He attacks them because everyone is telling him pulling the troops out and green-lightining Turkey was a very bad move, so he tries to make himself look good by maligning the Kurds.

Considering Trump kick-started this mess, who else are people supposed to criticize?

Turkey is a member of the United Nations right? I get the arguments of Trump is abandoning the Kurds to be killed, but why is there no pushback on Turkey to, you know, not slaughter and invade a group of people?

Like, a country just can't help themselves that if the US military isn't on their border to not massacre people there? God the UN is useless if they can't even deter a member from committing genocide.
