Tune up fights. Would have Ronda fared better with one after Holm loss?

They should have fed her Pena.

Pena was talking shit, was on the TUF on the opposing team, stylistically was a gift for Ronda to beat up, throw and armbar.

In the case with an emotionally privy Ronda, after her loss to Holm, she should have fought a tune up against Jessica Eye. Easy win, built confidence, boom then give her to Nunes. Fighters are human after all and wrestle with confidence just like the rest of us. I feel there also used to be more intrigue to see someone climb back up than receiving title shots willy nillly.

I think this will be the case with Cody/TJ. Cody should not being going for an immediate rematch with the champion after such a brutal loss.

Of course there will be extenuating circumstances however, the UFC should bring back the tune up fight, more often than not.
She definitely wasn't ready for Whats her name, but it might not have helped much if she kept threatening to sue sparring partners if they actually sparred with her.

Well yeah. She could've extended her career a little longer if she took a couple of warm up fights. The problem with that is it's possible she could've lost one of those warm up fights. From a legacy stand point it's probably not the best of ideas. But I feel like ultimately she would've gone out the same way. Her striking was just too mediocre to compete with the other top fighters in the division.

On reflection Ronda was always going to lose to the first hard hitting striker she met. If Nunes had kept it together after the Budd fight few of us would even remember Rousey's brief mma career. As it is she could still probably beat the majority of the grappling strong girls at 135. Styles make fights and all that.

After the Holm fight, who was Ronda going to face? Serious question. Once people saw how bad her striking really is, and especially once Ronda lost her confidence, I don't see many fights going well for her. Even a third Tate fight wouldn't have gone well I think.

What has Tate done to convince you she could beat Ronda in a third try?

Your flaw is much greater than my own.

Wasn't trying to be a dick, just helping you make your thread titles a little bit more coherent.
Your first statement reveals your second to be a lie.
People don't want help unless they ask of it, otherwise it's condescending in every case.
Took me a couple of reads to figure out what the question was.
I understand people with broken English, verbal or written just fine, I'm sure your eye muscles will recover.

What was the status with Miesha back then? Was she the champ?

Nothing could saved ronda..except ronda..she needed to deal with it and learn to move on and she couldnt.. No coping mechanism for her..shes still sour about it..all a tune up would of done is padded someones record with an easy win over a women who was a shell of herself..people forget how mental fighting is..

Lol you're just an asshole aren'tcha?

Wouldn't have hurt. Casuals would have bought the PPV regardless... Remember she could out box Mayweather a year before.

It dep new who the tune up fight would have been against at the time. The majority of bantam weight even now wouldn't be able to contend with prime Ronda intent on the am bar due to the atheletism and technicality disparity.

The Edmond game plan was deep in her pysche by this point, but in desperate situations Ronda still tried her old game planning. She'd probably have won 2 or 3 in a row and ended up getting smashed by Amanda anyway. The story was set in stone...

Yea, they should have made rousey vs schevchenko. I would have loved to see that ass whipping!

She could have stepped in and fought tate at any point but she was that mentally defeated she couldn't.

The girl was done.
