Is this the oldest amateur mma promotion that still exist? Based in las vegas and has a very good relation to UFC. They giving away free tickets to fill up Thomas and Mack of UNLV. Got 2 tickets I dont know what to expect. Anyone have seen any of their event?
Oh hey, thanks. Gonna be PACKED at the MACK! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/mmamadhouseradio/2014/05/29/mmamadhouse-live-200
Had plans to go, even stated I was going, and then I got switched to night shifts on weekends. Pretty bummed, was going to get drunk and have a good time. oh well.
I went to one of their events in January and it was the classiest amateur event I've ever been to be far. Very fast-paced and exciting.
I'm not huge on talking it up big, but a lot of fighters have claimed we put on better shows than regional pro shows. So that's got to be a good sign, right? Regarding this show, what to expect is about 14 bouts and a few thousand people. I'd suggest getting their early. Fights will be pretty fast-paced and we should end up with about 4 title fights. You can check out a big-ole range of videos of past events. Some good. Some not so great. Some super-duper exciting. Such is MMA, lol https://www.youtube.com/user/TuffNUffTV
First you have dubs suddenly..... second.... wtf, Man!?? I thought we'd finally get to say hey. I'm shaking my fist at you right now.
I guess it's because it's a proving ground where you can take on a Nationals wrestler, a Brown/Blackbelt in BJJ, and a MT expert, and not have it count against your record. It helps mold you, in other words, and test if MMA is for you. And before you get huffy about "they don't get paid" at Tuff-N-Uff we provide rooms, food, and we do all we can to help fighters locate sponsors (with no % to us). We also do assist in travel if the fighter needs it. Most important we do provide a pretty good platform for pros. Ronda, Chris Holdsworth, Ryan Couture, Brad Imes, and about 30 others have made it to high-level professional careers.
Excellent. I'm not too familiar with their events. I'll have to definitely check out their videos. Thanks for the link and info, gentlemen.
Ditto. I've seen a handful of events online, would love to catch one live if I'm ever in Vegas or if you guys came out anywhere close to Ohio!
Professional-caliber promotion. ... Still one of the coolest fights, Pro or amateur... [YT]SOnjPcbqvN4[/YT]
I trained a bit with Cedric "Big Dawg" Terrell in San Diego. I believe he's got a couple of Tuff N Uff bouts under his belt. I've only heard positive feedback about this promotion. Good stuff!
Much thanks sure. Yes, I know Terrell. He holds one of our belts. I believe he moved out to Virginia these days. Looking to be pro soon.
A thread about a well respected amateur MMA promotion reaching a huge milestone that may never be duplicated by any other league gets wastelanded but 42 whiny ass threads a day about Dana hurting someones feelings are just fine Ridiculous
Thank you, Pliny Pete. I would understand it if I made the thread.... cuz it's me being obnoxious about my own organization. But it was made by another poster who just happened to be going. Not cool, mods. Tsk tsk.
