I know its a bit premature, what with TUF 18 going on, and this thread might get buried in the TUF 18 posts but I thought I'd make a list of all the fighters who were confirmed to be at the tryouts. These are the names I've seen online, it's supposed to be MW and LHW so I've put the weight-classes in brackets - please, if anyone has any information based on guys they know, train with etc who attended, feel free to add and I'll update the list!

* Any new names I find will be added with an asterisk.

Dwayne Hinds (9-0, WW so MW)
Lyman Good (15-3, WW so MW)
Chris Fields (10-5-1, MW)
Lumumba Sayers (6-4, MW)
Kelvin Tiller (6-0, MW)
Dhiego Lima (9-1, WW so MW)
Joshua Clark (7-2, MW)
Cathal Pendred (13-2-1, WW so MW)
Justin Guthrie (16-6, MW)
Andrew Todhunter (4-0, MW)
Nordine Taleb (8-2, WW so MW)
*Belal Muhammad (3-0, WW so MW)

Elijah Garshnick (9-5, LHW)
Dan Spohn (8-3, LHW)
Egidijius Valavicius (25-10, LHW)
Josh Stansbury (5-2, LHW)
Cody Mumma (5-1, LHW)

Nordine confirmed?! Man I hope he gets on the show.

Nice to see Dhiego and Lyman Good going for it too. Hope these guys get in.

Not a good list. Very few real MWs or LHWs.
Hope UFC call for prospects individually aside from try-out.

Yeah, Taleb was definitely there and being a big WW, I think he and Good will definitely get on the show as MWs.

I know. I'm hoping the same, there's around 10 MWs I can think of, proper middleweights, who could be on the show and maybe 6-8 LHWs I can think of. Hopefully the UFC reach out to some of these guys as right now, it's not a good crop. But unsurprising really - MW was done for TUF 17, and TUF Nations also has MWs which eliminates any Canadian or Aussies or might have tried out for TUF 19.

Also, there aren't that many good LHW prospects who would be willing to go through TUF IMO. Wouldn't be surprised to see LHW cut from the running, it's happened before.

That's how it goes with almost every TUF. A lot of people who are in a weight class below.

I really think the best option would be to do a massive countrywide talent search a la' American Idol/X factor etc. god knows the UFC can afford to fly all over America and hold multiple tryout sessions

I think having tryouts in one place really limits the number of good prospects/attendee's.

Good point!
Or, they could pay me to email the casting team a list of MW and LHW's who have decent records and would possibly be willing to go through the TUF process - they could then make a few phonecalls!

Yeah, the first suggestion is the more likely to happen! A handful would be fine - do one on the East coast/New England; one in the Mid-west; one down South, one on the west coast; no point doing one in Canada due to TUF Nations; get any foreign prospects with good English to send an application video.

Right, still no concrete news it seems nor tidbits of info from guys who might know/train with someone who's involved. However, below is a list of fighters who a) haven't fought for a while and b) don't seem to have anything coming up, while also having a TUF-worthy record (as in, at least 3 pro fights and a winning record overall - this is what I think TUF casting goes by at least).

If anyone has any info here and can tell me otherwise (IE -"That guy has a fight coming up" or whatever, please let me know):

MIDDLEWEIGHTS
Kyle Cerminara (3-0)
Sean Strickland (13-0)
Jason Zentgraf (7-2 - possibly under contract with MFC)
Noel Ligon (5-0)

Cully Butterfield (13-3)
Chris Bachmeier (7-1)
Eddie Gordon (6-1 - maybe LHW or MW)
Mike King (5-0)
Bubba Bush (6-2)
Roger Narvaez (6-0)
Nick Kraus (8-2)
Neal Ewing (4-0)
Ricardo Juan McCall (4-1)

LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT
Kelly Anundson (6-2)
Justin Ledet (5-0)
Doug Sparks (7-2)
Chris Dempsey (7-2)
Matt Van Buren (6-2)
Patrick Cummins (4-0)
Justin Friddle (5-0)
John Kafer (14-2)
Jeremy Osheim (4-0)
Adam Milstead (4-1)
Iain Martell (9-1)
David Patch (3-0)
Austen Heidlage (5-0)
Everett Cummings (6-0)
Monti Garrett (4-0)

Wow, awesome man, thanks.
Andrew Sanchez is actually 3-1 though, he lost not long ago but I did have my eye on him as a possible candidate for this season.

Bit disappointed with the MW names, there are some awesome WELTERWEIGHTS there but few good actual middleweights. But that's typical at times for TUF.

LHW, there's enough quality there to make an insanely good season of TUF - if Bosse, Ropati, Cummins, Stansbury, Spohn, Ledet and Mumma are involved, that's a solid line-up.

I doubt Cummins is on the show.
He is very active on twitter.

Tim Williams would be an odd one, at MW.
He was on TUF 17 and lost his qualifying fight to Andrews. IIRC, they never cast guys who've already featured on a season of TUF before.

MMASUN usually repeats prospects for TUF seasons

but usually the guy is spot on I think he even commented on one of his pages that he could confirm both TUF 19 and TUF Nations casts

Yep, he said to DM him on Twitter...which I did!
Not giving anything away, but he gave me a partial cast-list - he said some guys had requested he not say anything.

So Im gonna deduce that the rest of the cast are on those lists somewhere - hopefully anyway, I'd love to see Ropati, Bosse on the LHW bracket.

I would be very surprised if Valavicius made the cut, given he's 34 (the cutoff age) and has a rough record really....same goes for Brent Knopp who is also too old, I think.

The complete list on MMA Sun is not the cast list, but it was potential cast members, which I got from just listing a lot of the guys who either tried out of were in that weight class.

From there I have added and eliminated some I know aren't there.

The names marked with a (*) are ones that you might safely assume are on. :icon_lol:

I don't know all the TUF 19 cast, but I do know most of the guys who made the house...some big surprises too.

Oh man, I wont press you for answers, this is just a statement....

I hope to fuck Anton Talamantes didn't make the house. That guy is not good at all, and if he was able to make it through the first fights, it could be bad news for the LHW bracket haha!
