tryin to start a diet

    ok well i'm 5'11 , 150 , and my goal is to get ready for my mma debut. i want to get down to 145 and i want to gain some muscle and strenght so if any one can help that would be great..

    If you're preparing for an MMA debut, you must have a gym and/or a coach? Sounds to me like you're pretty far off from actually fighting if you're asking such a basic question. Once you have people to coach you, they'll probably let you know what your goals should be. That said, lift heavy weights and gain muscle slowly, and then diet down...that's how it's done.

    Also, 5'11'' is quite tall for a featherweight, you may find that once you gain enough strength to compete you'll have to go lightweight.
