Try out wrestling ?

    Hi ,
    I'm a bjj white belt and since there are a lot of american's who wrestle or wrestled here, i'd like to know what you guys think some wrestling training could add to my bjj game.

    I never wrestled before but im always open to try out new sports to see what they can add to my over all game.

    What areas would generally improve by wrestling?

    Wrestling helps a ton. It gives you a good takedown game, good scrambles, aggression and overall toughness.

    Ah no, i'm european , we don't have high school wrestling teams.

    To be honoust i don't really like wrestling , not that i know a lot about it, but i definatly could use some better takedowns and conditioning.

    Plus when i see mma fighters the ones with wrestling backgrounds always seem to keep on going on an on.

    Thats why I asked.

    HS wrestling is Super competitive in the States. It would give you serious cardio and drive and toughness.

    It really is a sport that does not build character, it reveals it.
