It's so obvious that if Trump becomes president he will be impeached almost immidiately. When you think about it, the only thing that keeps presidents from being impeached more often is the fact that both parties back their presidents no matter what. If Donald Trump gets into office, he will be he first modern president who will lack support from at least half of his own party. Party support is the only shield against impeachment. If Obama were as unpopular with Democrats in the house and Senate the way Trump is unpopular with Republicans in both the House and Senate then He would have been gone long ago.

Save this thread and bring it back up when this inevitably happens: If Trump becomes president, Repubs and Dems in both chambers will gladly move forward with impeachment proceedings at the first sign of fucking up.

If Trump truly lacks support from half of the Republican base, then he won't be winning regardless.

If Hillary is elected, she will be the first president to sit in the same chair where her former president husband got a blowjob… True story

Didn't they take all the furniture with them last time they left the white house?

Being unpopular is not grounds for impeachment.

I'm not worried about impeachment.

I'm more concerned with the riots that will occur in many large cities on the night that he is elected.

He lacks support from the political establishment...not the voters. So yeah if people want to ruin their political careers like Ted Cruz then they should go ahead and impeach over something retarded.

I think it's likely just because the GOP would get to have pence in as president for a term. They'd be completely cool with it. Thing is, pence might get to do that with or without trump holding the office since the rumors seem to be he doesn't care about domestic or foreign policy

If that happens it would support electing trump was the right move.

Give the woman her own kick at the oval-office-cigar can.

If Trump is elected the YouTube conspiracy addict in me says he will mysteriously have a heart attack.

Meh. If it's not Trump possibly winning then the dindu nuffin crowd will just find something else to riot over.

Ok, so what does he get impeached for and what is the procedure?

Pence as president is such a scary concept. Trump is awful but at least he doesn't believe half the shit he says. Pence on the other hand is a true believer.

btw Trump's relationship with Congress would make Obama's circa 2011 look like a walk in the park. I doubt he'd be able to do anything that required congressional approval (which is pretty much everything).

It's amazing they managed to get an old guard evangelical guy like this possibly in charge of the administration despite that branch slowly dying off each election year.

If Trump became the President that would mean pretty much every Republican in the country voted for him (since they'll have to in order for him to even have a shot). There's no way Republican Congressmen would vote to impeach the man their constituents just voted for. It'd be curtains for their careers.
