Now ppl complain about process not being “fair”?

democract majority in the house pretty much ignored republicans n their requests.

They had their bias/party hearings in the house, didn’t gather much evidence, witnesses they requested they didn’t go to courts to get them, their 2 articles of impeachment (abuse of power, obstruction of congrsss) are not real impeachable offences....

so in other words they acknowledge they didn’t do their job in the house n now expect republicans to be “fair” n give them what they want?

What makes this even funnier is same ppl on the democrat side trying to impeach trump were reminding everybody during Clinton impeachment how impeachment should have a bipartisan support otherwise it’s a political witch hunt

So "We don't have time to use the law"
okay. Great case
The case is already indisputable. Go ahead and cheer GOP suppression tactics. We'll see how that goes for you during the elections.

Patrick Philbin claims that investigation in to Biden would have had no value to Trump, and there for not against election law. A foriegn country can interfere in the election with information and it doesnt have to be reported.

Adam Schiff point out that Trumps actions make it clear that Trump was trying to use the Ukrainian investigation into Biden for personal gain. He point to how Trump reuses the Hillary Russian dossier over and over again. The investigation into Biden would be powerful and valuable.

Welp that’s a wrap - the R senators that said they wanted witnesses have no nuts at all and can pass this off as “meh”

Good to see the logic of the defense absolutely implode though.

Was fun while it lasted.

Bernie 2020

I remember like two days ago in here when people were still defending Trump by
claiming that the timeline mattered or there was no intent. And today Dersch literally undoes their defenses and openly argues that Trump did all of it because he felt it was in the best interests of the country.

what a joke

Adam Schiff point out the inspector general found the investigation into Trump and Russia was properly predicated. Trying to connector the fisa mess up from one person doesnt clear Trump of this investigation.

Jay Sekulow claims the fisa process was so tainted by the FBI that the 2016 investigation should never have happened.

If we wanted to end this divisive political sham we would impeach Trump.
<{1-11}>

Boo Hoo, elections have consequences.

President Trump won in 2016. The Republicans expanded their majority in the Senate in 2018.

The American people chose, and it wasn't for your goals and desires.

Patrick Philbin Trump did not have a obligation to inform the DoD on why the funds were held, because the funds had till the end of the year to be released.

Trump lawyers did look like shit.

They straight up just threw shit at the wall to see what stuck. Also, they couldn’t produce definitive information because either they didn’t have it or it would further implicate Trump.

The irony being that the Dems did this for 4 years and this was the best they could do lol..

My calendar reads 2020. Let's see if you're so smug come November.

I don’t see what’s “fair” has to do with anything. What do you think about the op? Isn’t allowing relevant witnesses go on record even if only for the purpose of having a historical record in the best interest of the USA? Isn’t voting against relevant witnesses because it is advantageous to your side putting party over country? Is that something you want to argue for?

Jason Crow the hold was unlike any other hold on aid before. DoD had no idea and could not get answers. Every delay matters and it is unacceptable to delay fund in such a way.

whats not true? That the Supreme Court would have decided in favor of Congress?

Congress does not have to seek judicial approval for their subpoenas. They are separate branches. Congressional committees have full right to issue subpoenas for literally anything and their subpoenas hold more weight than judicial ones in terms of disregarding normal rights like attorney-client privilege.

Individuals issued Congressional subpoenas must comply or be held in contempt. If they do not wish to comply they can either show up and assert their privilege (5th amendment, executive privilege, etc) or they themselves can bring their case to the judiciary. Congress does not need judicial approval to issue subpoenas.

The White House did not dispute any subpoenas and contrarily they specifically ordered them to be ignored, that is blatant contempt of Congress.

Patrick Philbin the President can seek foreign aid in investigating corruption, if he believes the proper channels have failed in the past. The President can seek foreign aid in any matter if they are not seeing the progress they want to see through the proper channels. The President decides what is in Americas best interest.
