Trump Takes Credit For Obamacare, Says Democrats Want to Repeal It

Still need to add perspective to the discussion for crying out loud. You know 100% it isn't true?

Hell in jussie smollett's threads or Rkelly threads people post what those guys have to say, it's all relevant, you have to allow the freedom of discussion to take place stop trying to dictate what can and what cannot be posted in a discussion/thread man, that's not a good look.

Come on man why are you even doing this.

One of his main campaign platform positions was to repeal and replace the ACA.

Everyone knows this. Why would he now say differently.

Let’s not forget the summer of 2017 when McCain voted against the GOP to repeal Obamacare.

Everyone knows this happened. Why try and muddy the waters?

Healthcare seems to be a complex problem with no simple solution. I don't think you can have quality, cost effect widely available healthcare / insurance.

As someone outside the states, this way of thinking baffles me.

It's as if most of the western world doesn't already have Universal Health Care. But we do. We've had it for decades.

It really can work, but certain "interests" have completely poisoned the public debate about it in the states.

You have a money in politics problem more than you have a Healthcare problem, imo.

hi Jackie Blue,

this guy - the guy you're responding to - is the same guy who will say "we need to forget about worrying about what will happen to the women in Afghanistan and worry about the people back home".

its ridiculous, but its also very funny.

lol.

What's wrong with that?
Worrying about people in other countries (especially the ME) is the first step toward America ruining those countries.

He’s right though, half of the Democrats running are doing so on a platform of taking away your health care.

Lol, just no. Zero Democrats are running on a platform of removing protection for pre-existing conditions from healthcare.

No, they just want to make my healthcare, which is great, illegal.

I hope you’re prepared for endless campaign ads with democrats saying that themselves in the debate.

Unless Biden wins, then we’re talking about kids rubbing his leg hair when he found out about roaches.

Come on guys, how can we not make these debates happen? They will be worth 4 years of whatever happens. Trump vs Biden debates will be the best tv ever produced. People may die from the LULZ.

I said in a subsequent post that I'm in favor of very cheap insurance, even if it's gov't run, that only covers life threatening illness, not comprehensive.

So the insurance will cover you once you collapse and are taken to the hospital to learn you have stage 4 cancer. But when you were having initial, mild symptoms a year and a half earlier your insurance wouldn't cover the doctor's appointment that might have led to an early diagnosis. That's why you never saw the doctor and just decided to tough it out in hopes it would resolve on its own.

Awesome strategy for a healthier America.

hello PrinceOfPain,

What's wrong with that?

the poster who wants to cut foreign aid so we can "take care of people back home", adopts the same, Scrooge-like sensibility when the topic turns to...you know...taking care of people at home.

maybe he's referring to his own, actual home.

Worrying about people in other countries (especially the ME) is the first step toward America ruining those countries.

it would be interesting, i think - and illuminating - for anyone to make the case that our participation in Middle East affairs has been motivated by "worrying" about the welfare of those who reside there.

hello ultramanhyata,

it would be alot like owning collision insurance that only kicks in if you drive off a cliff.
or homeowners insurance that only kicks in if your home is flattened by a meteor.
or life insurance that only kicks in when you're dead.

*frowns*

actually, i guess its alot like life insurance, and not health insurance. sounds like a pretty anxiety inducing way to live. a grim portrait of life in America's rustbelt.

lol.

hello Bob!

you can't say for sure, with Mr. Buttigieg (Pete, whom i like as a politician, has actually been the vaguest of the front runners. his proposals have been the least fleshed out. who knows what he'll actually do?).

Joe Biden is another story. with him, you can keep whatever policy you have, if you like it.

i figured you weren't a Sanders of Warren supporter. so you're a Biden guy!

*fistbump*

Seem to be able to get money for war no problem or to bail out the banks, but universal healthcare for its own citizens? Nah skint mate.

Also Trump kept bashing McCain even after he died for that vote.

I think Trump was in on it. He asked McCain to cast the "no" vote because Trump knew it was the only way to save preexisting condition protections for Americans. But Trump can never admit the collusion and is forced to carry on the charade of "hating" John for standing in the way of the Obamacare repeal.

I, for one, can only say, "Thank you, Mr. President."

Why wouldn't you just go to the doctor? Take the money that you've saved from not having to pay exorbitant insurance costs for the last several years and just go to the damn doctor that is now cheaper because there isn't a middle man jacking up the prices, then get the treatment that is covered.

Would need someone from fox and friends saying the American people want war with
Kinkistan to seal the deal

Kinkistan would be a major threat. From what I understand, their style is impetuous and their defense? Impregnable...

Yeah... Catastrophic Insurance Coverage Guy should just be able to write a check for the primary care visit, then for the visits to the specialists to which he'll be referred, then for the battery of diagnostic tests the specialists will order run - the tests that will discover the early-stage cancer.

Don’t ever get captured by their soldiers.

I'm not talking about high deductible insurance, I'm talking about comprehensive insurance not being a thing and people paying for primary care themselves that isn't inflated by comprehensive insurance being the norm. The "battery of diagnostic tests to discover cancer" are based on referrals and would be covered by cheap, life-threatening coverage.
