Also, that graph is bad.
No thanks American ISIS.
We won’t let you destroy parts of American history.
and Gillette can make as many dumb commercials as they want, and real men just won’t buy them.
What's bad about the graphic? Doesn't paint a pretty enough picture for you?
Then just use this one instead:
If the lack of immigration was such a bad thing for America, why did America become the most powerful country in the world, then? Common logic determines that their growth would have ceased, if they were following bad policies.
Sorry the truth hurts. Your projection is hurting my intelligence quotient, so we'll just call it even. You're fulfilling the long conservative tradition of being a giant fucking mark, so here's to you.
Which country are whites currently pouring into and trying to change laws, culture, and heritage? Can you even name one? Of course you can't. I suspect you're referring to the Indians, which again, is a silly comparison.
That's not the gist of the argument. I was trying to point out that the US is unique in its European heritage because of the inter-continental transplantation that resulted in its founding. That's a quality that distinguishes it from Japan and Mexico.
It's an understandably tough choice for this administration between excluding them or having license to call them "wretched refuse."
Exactly, you're substituting assumption for actual proof... It's not common logic to make assumptions, that's the opposite of logic... and you're ignoring the primary reason for American growth in the WW2 and post-war period... The largest military build up in human history and the projection of power that it allowed.
The graphs are bad because they don't account for the change in population over time, and how the overall population exponentially increased in the recent decades and painting an exaggerated picture today.
In reality, the amount of immigrants in relation to the population was MUCH higher earlier in American history than those graphs depict. America is a nation literally built by immigration.
Of course it was written about Europeans, only some leftist nut who wants to rewrite history would argue otherwise...
Italian americans are Nature's cruelest mistake. Here's the only italian american worth listening to.
No shit, logic also dictates than when a country is being established from nothing, that the percentage of immigrants will be higher than in subsequent times when a nation of over 300 million people has already been established, for over 2 centuries now. Pretty much every single nation in existence was once the result of some immigrant group emigrating somewhere.
Australia in the 1800's also boasted a higher number of immigrants than it does today, that doesn't mean that they need to be hauling in millions today. The necessity for such excess amounts of man-power, no longer exists.
Some people brought up the lack of immigration in the mid-20th century America, almost as if it was a bad thing, some sort of a racist machination preventing America from coming to "full bloom". Yet all things considered, America seemed to do pretty fine for itself during that time. Fine enough to become the most powerful country in the world.
In that era, due to no immigration a man could demand living wages. Gas station attendants, shop keepers, and full time burger flippers could afford their house payment, car payment, food for their family, and the wife could stay at home.
Once immigration took off, and the wealthy could pay people way way less, the American wage earner has suffered.
They have now become the American wage cuck.
Steve bannon makes some damn good points that peasants in some ways had it better than we do now. Look at all the times they revolted and won as well. Demanding better conditions.
Thanks for reminding us all that diversity is not a strength. Emotionally unstable liberals should not be in charge of immigration policy.
@TheGreatA Thank you for putting in the time to deal with these crazy liberals. Your patience is admirable!
Lol so true. Nobody likes Italian Americans it seems.
Life sometimes is just unfair
During that time the rest of the world was still recovering from ww2.
There was a pretty large contingency of Nazi sympathizers in the US heading into WW2. But Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and Germany declared War on the US.
America has been at or near full employment for your entire life, why is more workers a bad thing especially when you consider that our natural birth rate is still exponentially higher than the rate of immigration?
Again, you're ignoring every single other factor to make this very poor assumption.
the Slaves were free by that point. Read up on American hisotry bub. They still fought alongside the prior owners.
Wait, this is actually news to people?
It’s obviously been about Europeans the whole time.
Honestly you are not smart enough for this argument if you do not understand what he is pointing out about causality.
You need to read up about America's wealth prior to enter the war and then understand America's opportunities post the War as one of the most unharmed States.
Your hurr durrr, Look low immigration stats, argument is so weak its a pathetic stretch to even try to make it.
Separate names with a comma.
