Trump lays out his immigration in detail.

I am behind trump we do need to bring back our manufacturing back bone. we have become a consumer not produce any thing nation and it has put us in the hole.

Easy to say. When people say we need to bring our manufacturing jobs back, they are talking about the ones you could live on back in the 60s-70s. If he found a way to force those jobs back to America, they would be ~10 dollar an hour jobs for the most part. Worth trying to do something, some jobs are better than none, but it's not the panacea people think, and it certainly doesn't justify the extreme measures Trump is proposing.

All the manufacturing jobs we lost due to NAFTA were not $10 hr jobs and wouldnt be now either. Those are jobs that would provide families with decent income and benefits. Look at what has happened to areas like Detroit,Baltimore etc. Who knows what they would be like today if those jobs were never lost. Its friggin tragic that our govt allowed that to happen. But thats what happens when big business owns your govt. Trump, while speaking on that issue said he would tell them if they moved their manufacturing out of the country he would put a 30% tax on all cars coming in. He also spoke about Nabisco recently closing US plants to open huge facilities in Mexico. The only reason this pressure hasnt been put on manufacturers in the past is because our politicians have been in bed with them. Now we have someone who owes big companies nothing and has the freedom to tell them if you want to do business with US citizens, this is how its gonna be.

But the point is that Obama didn't win because of his experience or anything he had ever done in his life. He won for superficial reasons related to youth, race, and charisma.

Or he won because the stances he campaigned on including healthcare, the wars in the ME, student debt, same sex marriage, the economy, the environment, women's reproductive health rights, etc. were more in line with the majority's opinion than the other candidates. Are those superficial reasons?

A politicians experience doesn't mean everything to voters if they are experienced in supporting what the voters don't want.

Maybe he won because the opposition was/is abject garbage. Christ, after Bush the Dems could have run a dog or a cat and it still would have won. Like a white Democrat couldn't have beaten McCain/Palin?

Even so It is better than no job at all and living on food stamps. Yes some people dont care to work others do. and they want a job even if they they no skill or trade. and thats the ones who hurt .

That is my dream matchup, because I believe Sanders would win and it would make the GOP look ridiculous, but I'd be pretty uncomfortable until the final ballots were in. I mean, how many troll votes would it take before the joke got too big for it's own good? Serious gut check time in that voting booth.

same this would be so fucking awesome

second this.

What a bunch of hypocrites. Holding trump to a much higher standard than anyone else in the race. Does everyone not know that at this stage of the game nobody gets too specific with their plan for anything? Please you cant get Hilary to even speak without cherry picking who gets to ask her questions. She is probably the most evasive politician ever. But lets attack Trump for not explaining every detail of his plan. He has already said more than most if not all candidates about what he wants to do. Hes not stupid. Hes holding his cards close to his chest on purpose, thats why he isnt going into great detail, not because he doesnt have a plan. What a bunch of fools to criticize him. Has anyone else detailed their immigration plan ? No. This guy is getting more flack from BOTH sides of the aisle and still going strong.

The US sells more manufactured goods to Mexico than viceversa.

So cool, put a 30% tax to all cars coming in, so that Mexico puts a 30% on all US goods coming in causing a shitload of US companies who sell in Mexico to lay off people.

The reason why well paid jobs are scarce is because of upwards wealth redistribution, people like Trump running the country.

I don't blame Trump for not wanting to get too specific about rounding up all the illegals in the US. About the armed convoys rolling through neighborhoods, the crying and screaming women and children, the truncheons, the tasers, the handcuffs, etc. Not wanting to discuss how the sausage gets made is a smart PR move on his part.

Trump understands the art of the deal and would make the Mexicans, themselves, pay any tax they try and levy against US imports. Just like they will be paying for the border fence. It's about management.

Ok it's unfair to expect him to layout a comprehensive immigration plan. Instead of that maybe he could give us...oh...ANYTHING AT ALL. He won conservative wingnuts hearts in the first place by screeching about illegal immigrants. Is it too much to ask that he have even the vaguest idea of what he's going to do?

This was what I was getting at, those jobs really aren't worth starting trade wars over.
Not to mention that most of Trump's supporters would also have some strong opinions about unions, which are what made those jobs so great back in the day.

Or at least admit it's going to cost a shit ton of money and suggest where that would come from.

I've heard Trump use this tactic before, when he was building a 2.4 billion dollar casino in AC and everyone on the east coast was like "what the fuk?". He acted like he had this magic business sense and had all this geniuses that could pull it off even though A layman knew that shit would utterly fail. It never came close and now there's a $2.4 billion dollar vacant and decaying monstrosity on the boardwalk that Trump tried to sue to get his name removed from. Great leadership

Bernie Sanders is this election's Ron Paul.

One difference: You will never hear supporters at a Sanders rally chanting "Let them die!" when he's talking about Americans who can't afford health insurance.

Everyone asking Trump for more substance.

No one else is giving any. It's too early in the primary. Everyone in the debate gave broad statements. It's because Trump isn't a politician and in the lead the media can't figure out why. So they need something to run on because nothing else has worked.

He's adopted almost all of Jeff Sessions' points on immigration, which is as close to a restrictionist plan as anyone has laid out.

Still white knighting Mexico I see. Good to see Americans loyal to their own country. So as less and less corps move to Mexico and many start coming back we will see who wins that war. What a joke, Mexico is a bunch of poverty stricken villagers without The US. Their entire economy relies on us. They will adjust accordingly. They will have no choice. Its very naive to think we wouldnt win that trade war easily. Cmon man, Mexico ? To think that Mexico could give us a fight is ludicrous.

:icon_lol: exaggerate much ? How about we start by just deporting the illegals that commit crimes? Probably get half of them that way.

So he hasnt said anything at all huh ? Build a wall,e-verify,get the 14th in front of the SC again, streamline legal immigration. All things he has spoken about in more detail than any plan anyone else has spoken about on either side. You can disagree with his ideas, but lets not deny that he has said more than anyone else. Whats Hilarys plan again ? Bernies ? Oh do nothing ? Let even more illegals in and give even more amnesty ? What a traitorous group the dems are when it comes to immigration. Sickening.

Im totally for strong unions.

Yup. Id like to see just one of his detractors lay out the detailed plan that their candidate has put out there instead of just bashing Trump. I guess its the "cool" thing to do. This guy is a threat to the establishment whether people realize it or not and people from both parties should be attracted to that. That why hes getting attacked by everyone, even Fox news.
