Trump finds a billionaire to help fund his campaign

In a meeting last week Trump and Sheldon Adelson agreed that he would help fund his campaign. Adelson told Trump he would spend 100 million dollars to get him elected. Adelson is a Las Vegas billioniare who is one of the biggest contributors to republicans and super pacs. Its not an empty promise. Adelson spent nearly a 100 million last GE trying to get a republican elected to the WH. Adelson is a prominent neocon who used to be a democrat but left the party because he believes they dont support Israel enough must have been convinced by Trump that he is pro-Israel. Adelson has said in the past that he only supports canidates that are pro-Israel. It wasnt always love between Adelson and Trump. Back in October Trump lashed out at Adelsons funding of Rubio. Calling Rubio Adelsons puppet.



I guess Adelson has found himself a new puppet.

Well Carlos Slim is the Mexican billionaire everyone is familiar with but he isn't American so he can't support presidential campaigns in the manner of Sheldon . Mexican billionaire Slim wouldn't give a shit about Mexicans and Mexico unless it was in his personal interest to do so. well… Out of the two people to choose from it's pretty obvious that the best chance we have of someone not being a puppet is trump… Washington may change him, but he is still our best hope. The only hope. I don't see him being controllable though, and I don't think the donors believe they can control him. What choice do they have though? if they have any conservative convictions then how could they risk Clinton choosing the Supreme Court.

It costs a lot of money to run a presidential campaign and he may be worth $4 billion or maybe double (like he claims) but it does not mean he has that much cash on hand to spend. Nor would it be a good idea to dip that heavily into your pocket book. Still I am sure Trump could find $100 million of his own to spend but it must be nice to get some help.

Lol. No I still don't support Trump, I dislike his anti-trade stances, his flip flopping, and he seems unstable to me. I trust Clinton's judgement a lot more and think she has a more sound team of advisers around her and is more knowledgeable and experienced.

Adelson is probably most concerned about who is best for business and since he is a business man he tends to fall into the camp that thinks economy= always healthy and best when big business is doing well. It also, probably helps that Trump is pro business and would do whatever he can to help Las Vegas and the Casino industry.

For me it was always about him not having party or establishment hooks in him, and the idea that worse case scenario, he would crash things, and create a real people powered movement. I would be OK with him making deals with people like Adelson, on behalf of the interests of the American people, but not on behalf of strengthening his campaign. Also by surrounding himself with people like Adelson, or the Koch's, it becomes less likely that he would rock the boat in a meaningful way. Adelson may be a selfish prick, but he is a logical selfish prick, and surely see's that it is not in his interest to allow things to deteriorate in a meaningful way. This makes him no different then Clinton in my view now.

There have been quite a few articles , including in the MSM, saying how the no1 priority for Adelson is Israel, and just how supportive candidates are of rightwing Israeli ideas. Adelson is close to Likud.

Adelson is very nationalistic when it comes to Israel and its Jewish dominance but he supports Open Borders for the US.

Clinton is like this test tube creature that was created by various powers to carry out their agenda. The only think she cares about is money, power and being the 1st woman president. Clintons are the Blairs, totally unscrupulous, amoral, selfserving , bought and paid for by whoever financially supports them.
