"No, I don't anymore," Trump replied, when asked at a CNN town hall event whether he still supported a pledge he made last year to support whoever is the Republican nominee for the Nov. 8 election.

Not surprising. What was more surprising was that Cruz said something similar.

Cruz, asked earlier at the CNN town hall whether he also would honor the pledge to support the nominee if it was not himself, declined to give a straight answer.

"Let me tell you my solution to that," Cruz said. "Donald is not going to be the GOP nominee. We're going to beat him."

Republicans just cant play nice together. A third party challenge from either of them will make Hillary a lock.

Anyone surprised. Im convinced he and HRC are in cahoots. He will run independent and she will make it easier for him to make money.

No suprise, the RNC hates him and Cruz and have set up smear campaign to make sure he loses, why would he support them?

GOP is screwed no matter what cause their voters decided to throw a tantrum and let the democratic side coast to nomination. The least they could do now is snub Trump for the nomination and at least show the party has dignity even when the voting base goes haywire.

Trump and Bernie to join forces and go independant as a team.

Trump makes a great color commentator and Bernie would be a good Mike Goldberg to balance it out.

Forget this, let's talk about how he seemed to be saying that he's fine with nuclear proliferation--as long as it's our friends (at least, our friends this week).

BTW Cruz and Kasich said the same thing but of course Trump gets the headline.

Truly shocking that the candidate leading the primaries on on the headline, i know. What was i thinking.

I support Trump, but terrible answers like that give me major pause. Good lord, the last thing we need in this world is more nuclear nations. He did seem to engage in double talk here so hopefully he was just bullshitting an answer. If he's serious about allowing more nations to be nuclear, I'll just sit this one out and watch a bunch of terrible choices from the sidelines. It's pretty simple - you can't be against terrorism and lax about nuclear proliferation. That's a huge issue.

He went Ron Paul with his isolationism tonight.

Well when the Republican party is aligning against him. All the powers of the world are aligning against Trump. China, Mexico, the pope, George Soros, obviously the media. It makes sense he doesn't support them. I mean the Republican party is basically saying we don't care if you win the popular vote, we still won't pick you as the Nominee. The globalist aspect of the Republican party would rather support Hillary then Trump. They know damn well she'll push authoritarian government which the neo cons love.

The worst thing about the nuclear proliferation talk was that after he tells us he's giving Japan nuclear weapons, he says that Japan is laughing at us as a country. Why would you give nuclear arms to a country to protect themselves if you think they're an enemy who is laughing at us? And he did use the word enemy, vaguely alluding to all enemies of America, but he painted Japan as such with a statement like that. He'll say anything.

How did you feel about his response to the man who asked what he planned to do on educating people about different minorities such as the Sikhs who are attacked because people are ignorantly assuming their Muslim? He never gave a response and simply justified his current statements because Islam is a real threat, no acknowledgement of the actual question. That seems to be his thing from what I've seen, when he's not bragging pompously, he's deflecting subjects to attack others.

He was completely dodging Anderson's attempts to get him to clarify. I'm with you, shit like that really troubles me. Can you imagine how fucking unstable northeastern Asia would be if the shit he proposed tonight happened? Nuclear Russia, nuclear China, nuclear North Korea, nuclear South Korea all locked in a dangerous game.

Get your shit together, Trump. No more fucking around.

I'm going to come off as an asshole saying this, but I don't really care. I mean, I don't want to see Sikhs wrongly targeted (or Muslims for that matter), but it's just not something that moves my dial tbh.

Agreed. Hopefully someone talks some sense to him. I know that he got a good reaction with his "America first" stand, but sometimes "America first" means paying attention to external threats as well. He really needs to get his head out of his ass here. This is the worst thing he's said this entire election cycle. He also said he doesn't want more nuclear nations, so basically he was talking out both sides of his mouth.

I don't give two shits about the wife drama. That's meaningless. Nuclear proliferation is an important issue and hopefully he was just completely unprepared to talk about it because he had already resigned himself to the fact that Iran is going to go nuclear. He was probably just using that as a reason to attack Obama, but he has to be presidential and do better than that.

I appreciate the honesty, but sheesh man... Are you aware of the Sikhs and their history with the Muslims? They've been a target of their violence for hundreds of years, to be attacked because people think they're Muslim is just an absolute tragedy. Those are American citizens, they're at serious risk of harassment and violence, doesn't that mean something?

What is it about Trump that you support?

I think he's just saying that violence Sikhs face for being mistaken for Muslims is so infrequent that it doesn't really factor in when compared to larger issues.

Yes, I know they've been at it for a long time. I didn't mean to come off as callous, it's just that every time radical Islam is brought up, people worry about Islamophobia and although those concerns aren't without warrant, in terms of scale, they are minor compared to Islamic terrorism.

I do think it's wrong for Sikhs to be blamed for what radical Muslims do, but what's Trump supposed to do, put out government brochures that Sikhs have the inverted V turban?

As for why I support, tl;dr - outsourcing. I've written about it in the past, I'll find the post if you'd like to read it.
