True or False: Silva vs GSP would have happened during their concurrent title reigns if...

What occured was a massive embarrassment of a fight. To the point where Dana and the Fertitta bros refused to give Silva the money fight. Georges was the A-side here...Silva only became a name after Chael's mouth made him popular.

Now, did Silva shit the bed on purpose to lose the fight? Was it performance anxiety at the fact that his decisive victory would land him the bigger fight?

Who knows.

In the end, Silva screwed Silva out of that fight...Not Georges.
Oh, please. What a delusional fanboy. "Location: Canada". Well, that explains it, I guess.

Silva was one of the most popular fighters in 2010, top 5 for sure. GSP was #1. GSP never wanted to talk about this fight. He NEVER called out Silva in all those years. This whole thing about that "one time in abu dhabi" where GSP actually was supposed to say he did wanted to fight is so BS. For years people asked him to make the superfight, but he didn't do it. Silva ducked Jones, but GSP ducked SIlva, that's for sure.

Then he moves up when Bisping is the champ. Classic GSP, playing it safe. Jabbing a grappler like Shields, lay and praying over a striker like Alves. Decisioning everyone, even Dan Hardy. Then he immediately vacates to avoid Romero. Always playing it safe. The "GOAT" LMAO

Gsp has entered valhalla unscarred unbroken, practically unbeaten, with all his riches. Canderson dreams about being GSP.

Funny he was going up for Rockhold...Just so happens he couldn't hold it against Bisping.

Just like Silva couldn't beat Bisping.

Your revisionism is showing again.

Your boy only wishes he was as great.

He fucked up the Maia fight on purpose to lose the money fight. Silva wasn't a PPV sell until Chael. He was mighty mouse at 185.

"Anderson Silva money" only became so after Chael's mouth made them both money.

If you were watching back then you would know this.

It would have happened if Anderoid didn’t embarrass the sport in Abu Dhabi with GSP ringside

Silva fought at 170 and then moved up to 185 to be a dominant champ. GSP never fought at 155. GSP also had no problem fight BJ Penn, twice.

Anderson fought at WW about 50 years ago. BJ Penn fought GSP at his weight class, and he was the one doing the calling out.

Was Anderson open to fighting GSP at WW?

LOL "my boy". I literally said he ducked Jones. You are the only fanboy here, boy.

Silva was past his prime when he faced Bisping, if you can't tell that, then you don't know MMA. GSP vacated to avoid Romero and the others. It's sad and pathetic how you try to hype Bisping here.

Silva was the P4P best fighter in the UFC on that era. They were talking about this superfight all the time. "If you were watching back then you would know this"

And you claiming that Silva "boycotted" the fight and not win millions because he was scared of GSP is ridiculous and really shows your bias. The dude just layed and prayed over Dan Hardy and Thiago Alves. What was so scary about him? But, yeah. If Silva "boycotting" the fight is all you got, then lol, ok.

When did I say he boycotted the fight. Nah he found a way to duck wirhout looking like a duck. Looking like you're untouchable against scrubs is worth more than fighting a world beater from a lower weight class and losing...To Silva.

He could barely hold his shit together against Chael fucking Sonnen.

What exactly do you think GSP, who is by Chael's own admission, was a stronger/superior grappler to himself...Would have done to Silva? The same Silva who, once his guard is passed becomes a fish out of water.

If beating guys everywhere the fight goes and constant pressure and offense standing and on the ground is LnP...Then Shields/Fitch must have put you in a coma.

Try harder boy

Man, it’s funny how a simple question triggers all the gsp fan girls

It’s like a religious cult n you’re not allowed to mention their messiah.

The answer is simple ts...

Gsp wanted no part of Anderson.

He saw what he was doing to mw n even some lhw n decided he didn’t want to get embarrassed by anderson.

The fact that he later moved to mw to face bisping proves that he simply avoided that Anderson fight.

Now it’s funny some nuthuggers deflect n talk about Anderson vs jones, but that’s apples n oranges

Anderson n gsp we’re champs around same time, defended their titles around 10 times already were clear p4p no.1 n no.2, pretty much beat all top guys in their respective divisions. A showdown between them 2 was only thing left to do n was pretty much the legacy fight for both guys.

Anderson vs jones had none of those components. Jones was a young new champion, he only had few title defences. He didn’t beat all the contenders, he never called out Anderson (it didn’t make sense cause he was new champ). He wasn’t on gsp/Anderson level yet.

Also it would make no sense to make Anderson vs jones before making Anderson vs gsp.

It would be no win situation for Anderson at that time

If Anderson beats jones, then he just beat some inexperienced guy, if he loses then he’s no longer p4p best fighter

Grayarea creates threads praising Jones and hating on GSP way too often, and they never work out for him
<{you!}>

Whatever helps you sleep at night!
Jones crushes Silva
Silva crushes Georges

Only difference is Silva and Georges dominated the same era. Shame Georges didn’t push for it the way he pushed for Ping years later.

GSP doesn't want to fight roiders. Silva is a roider. GSP doesn't want to fight him. As simple as it gets but yet you don't get it.

Silva = roids
GSP = clean

Simple answer.

Penn called him out and moved up. GSP was never in a shortgage of opponents at 170 and had no obligation to move up and fight a steroid abuser.

There was plenty of time before and after the Maia fight for Georges to push hard for Silva.

The same way he pushed for Bisping years later

Nah GSP realised Anderoid was a joke and a waste of time.

He doesn’t need him. Anderoid on the other hand is still begging

if Silva would have came down in weight like he said he could

It's hard to say. I think the UFC wanted to keep the draw of having 2 "unbeatable" fighters. If GSP goes up and beats Anderson......now what? Now you lost one of your biggest draws in Anderson b/c he got beat up by a WW.

But I don't think GSP pushed terribly hard for it.
