I've been thinking about it. He can do it all and EFFORTLESSLY. Finishes from the guard, standing and ground n pound. Is there anybody who can do what he does?

Who knows?
The weight class he is in is not that deep.
He and Ronda are in a similar place.

True, he also is the number two P4P fighter imo (After Aldo ofcourse).

IMO, he is unmatched as far as well-roundedness and versatility goes except by Aldo.

Hard to say, he looks great everywhere. He hasnt been champ to long though, I would like to see a few more fights.

Johnson's transitions from striking to takedowns are really something to watch as well. His footwork is also excellent.

The most well-rounded very might well be Weidman imo. Great striking, wrestling and subs but we don't really know his level just yet. If he defends against Machida etc things could get interesting.

His defensive wrestling left a lot to be desired against Cruz.

Great fighter regardless

That probably had to do more with the fact that Cruz is way bigger than MM though, dude's first 8 pro fights were at 155.

I think he and Aldo are head of the class due to great overall skill and technique Aldo slight edge due to better overall striking but DJ has a case due to footwork. They keep adding new stuff while maintaining form. If MM keeps going at this pace he will no doubt be a GOAT one day.

Can we really count that fight? Such a big guy. He's looked much better in his new weight class. And ronda is fighting women. MM is fighting the best mma guys at 125. Most of which who were fighting at a higher weight class. 125 is deeper than the entire pool of wmma on ALL weight classes

Benavidez was undefeated before he first ran into Cruz and indeed, has only lost to Cruz and Mighty Mouse throughout his career.

Yea, Liz Carmouche and Meisha Tate are comparable to John Dodson and Joseph Benavidez.

currently or of all time. all time has to be gsp or anderson

since GSP has gone he has the best transitions from striking to takedowns in the ufc....

I knew you would show up.

We have to wait and see how great he is, is all I am saying.
Like Mir was amazed with Torres, when he was fighting what is pretty much what was equivalent to the talent pool of WMMA.

It takes a bit of time.
Benavidez and Dodson look impressive at times, but is that because the opponents are not that great?

Just throwing it out there.
That is the way it looks to me.
