    Hey fuck you buddy

Crown Royal is the best cheap whiskey there ever will be and better than most top shelf whiskeys I’ve had, most of them taste like moonshine and I’ve had the 20+ years aged shit enough times that I have no interest in ever drinking it

    Come at me

P12 sits on my shelf as more of a talking point and "curiosity" to those who have never tried it.

Bowmore has come down in price recently, that's my go too when I'm relaxin with the wife.

It's almost identical in my opinion. I don't find it harsh or medicinal at all. I think it's pretty much bang average for it's price point. It's nicer than Paddy's or Dunphys. On a par with Bushmills and Jameson. But if I was to buy a whiskey in that price range I would go for Kilbeggan or Powers.

Bushmills is my go to for cheap so when I read that Proper 12 was made at the same distillery I figured it would be similar. I was not impressed, it just wasn't as good IMO as Bushmills or Jameson and it's a couple bucks more where they sell it here.

I've got this entire scotch thread on blast. I've got so much living space, I'd make the Kardashian's jelly.

Who knew these sparkling wine drinking :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:s were so sensitive?

What I don't like is the disingenuous nature of it.

They obviously named it Proper 12 because a lot of good Irish whiskeys are aged 12 years. But Proper 12 is only aged 3 years I believe, whatever the minimum is to be considered whiskey in Ireland. And then they use some excuse that they name it Proper 12 because Conor is from the "12th district in Dublin" which is a load of horse shit. Nobody refers to any part of Dublin as those districts, it's only a code for the postal workers. They are trying to fool people into thinking it's a 12 year whiskey when it isn't. And so it's priced higher than it should be as well.

Proper 12 is bottom shelf whiskey. But it sells. Mostly to bums and hobos
