Elections Trudeau' Liberals loss second Liberal stronghold, in byelection loss

I don't know, Canadian boomers are still the number one voting demographic and they seem absolutely slavishly devoted to being libtards.

I don't even care if Trudeau wins so long as people fucking vote this time. If that's the will of the country then so be it .

But to have a small percentage of the country vote and for him to win by the smallest of margins from that is ridiculous.

No term limits so he’s trying to follow in the footsteps of his father and stay in power until his death.
Not sure if serious, but surely you know about the "walk in the snow" wherein the elder Trudeau decided to retire?

If Justin stays as leader for 15 years (the length of his father's time as PM) he'll still be in middle age.

You’ve been saying this since he won election in 2015 yet he keeps winning

Is there a term limit in Canada or can he just keep winning even when his party does poorly?
No term limits and Justin is done. The liberals can save a total demolishing if they install a new leader before the next election. Seems unlikely.

It's so fucking hilarious to be angry about surging cost of living and then vote NDP, the only party that will make that even worse.

Lefties never learn.
I find it more hilarious that blue collar working class folks think Pollievre is going to champion the working class lol.
He is necessary right now to stop the bleeding, but some of his promises will mean attacking the collective wealth of boomers, which is his main voter base, and i just don't see it happening.

At this point, its best for him and Freeland to go down with the ship. Anyone who replaced him will get Kim Campbell'd

Tremendously telling that so many of the most feverish supporters of the US right-wing are actually Canadians.
This has to be a joke. Canadians in a huge majority hate Trump. I can't say I know a sole that likes Trump in Canada. Maybe some rednecks in Alberta, but even then I'd say less than 50% of said rednecks, which is a small #.

He is the champion of hard workers, not all labour as many labour are lazy fucks.

We don't really have rednecks in Alberta. You mean roughnecks?

Yes. Canadian version of such. I love those guys, but some just fly flags that they don't really understand the implications behind.

Sounds like you're just referring to tradesmen who typically live in cities and make a lot of money. lol. Redneck typically implies poor, rural, and uneducated. As well as culturally redneck, which our rural people aren't. Alberta has the highest average wages and our students outperform every other province on academic achievement tests and have for a long time.

The demographic I am referring to are lifted truck driving, fairly well-off "country music" types. Not low class, but not exactly plugged into the political pipeline or sophisticated. They buy what Trump sells because it is simple, like county music these days!

I love these guys too though because they have a "stay out of my business and I'll stay out of yours" moto. They can certainly fend for themselves and I respect the hell out of that.

And the high student performance might be related to the huge # of foriegn students in your universities. My brother is a professor at U of Lethbridge

Yeah redneck has a pretty specific meaning particular to the American south. Our tradesmen/oil rig types tend to be pretty right wing and, say, 'toxically masculine,' but they don't have much in common with American south rednecks. They probably do usually like Trump though. Our rural people are probably more like rural people from the American midwest.

I'm referring to grade school. PISA tests, etc.

If he scraps the federal carbon tax as he has claimed, it will have a massive impact.
