https://www.sherdog.com/news/news/T...-Silva-Coelho-at-UFC-Event-on-April-11-169041 Tristan Connelly, the Canadian scrapper who defeated Michel Pereira on 6 days notice is finally making his return to the Octagon, at his natural weightclass of 155. He is fighting Brazilian prospect Alex da Silva Coelho (21-2, 1-1 UFC) https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Alex-da-Silva-Coelho-153799 Connelly's upset of the overhyped Pereira was one of my favourite UFC moments of 2019, and I am looking forward to seeing him with a full camp, in his proper weightclass. Connelly is 9-1 in his last 10 and is well-rounded and tough as hell. I think there are many interesting matchups for him at 155. Thoughts?
I am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst with this guy, I actually live near him. Big fan but just trying to be realistic here.
I'm excited as well -- he gave zero fucks that fight and fought 15 hard minutes. That was a very inspiring performance and I can't wait to see him throw down at 155. He made a lot of fans that night.
with a hockey stick all while maintaining a fairly impressive ( if i do say so myself ) moose knuckle
Will give benefit that he's got more to offer than a boring ground game. Do something worthy of a movie like Brennan Conlon
His short notice win over Pereira had me so hyped. I was rooting for him so hard. That was a great night. glad he’ll be back, can’t wait to see what he looks like on a full camp
Thats cool, but theres a good chance he was just in a right place, right time situation and had his 15 minutes of fame, and will look very average in his next fight against a younger/better prospect.
