So i've been intrigued by Joe Rogan's new diet, which is supposedly ketogenic-paleo, which is part of the Primal Blueprint diet. Now I don't know exactly what any of that means, but i basically interpreted it as an emphasis on vegetables, meat and intermittent fasting. I also significantly reduced the amount of food per day I would have.
After doing this diet for the last week, I began to lose the insatiable cravings I used to always have. Now I can go to the grocery store or pass a restaurant without making dumb decisions I later regret. It's crazy to now realize how little control I had over my food intake.
Basically I started eating twice a day: A late breakfast and an early dinner, then getting 12-15 hours between dinner and breakfast. Usually eggs and vegetables in the morning, and chicken and broccoli for dinner (still drinking a few glasses of wine later in the evening).
Now I am at one meal per day, and I feel the same, and not getting hungry at all. I have been working out 1-2 times per day, and energy levels are good. Lost about 8 pounds over the past week. I plan to continue this for another week until I reach my target weight and then return to 2 meals per day.
