    The issue isn't Trees increasing global warming, it's that conifers are worse than broadleafs. As a simple analogy, if you replaced all the rifles used by the US army with Winchester Repeaters, they'd be much less dangerous, but that doesn't mean that rifles make people less dangerous.

    Looks like the lesson isn't "tree chopping time". Looks like the lesson, yet again, is for us to be more cautious about mass terraforming the environment. The problem isn't just the trees we're planting, but the fact we're clear-cutting so many down.
