On youtube, there's a video of him doing some flips at Diamond MMA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KILiakspLA
For those that don't know, he's a local kid from Hawaii that was a State Champion in wrestling and a Junior National Champion in Judo. He later went on to Cornell to wrestle and won two NCAA Championship in Wrestling at 125 and 133. He has a BS and MS in Engineering, so it would be surprising if he actually gave up a career for MMA, but with his Asian roots, the last name Lee and the fact that he has such a strong Judo/Wrestling background, he might be able to not only be successful, but marketable.
I think that he didn't get into MMA at a younger age because of his weight class, but that could all change now that MMA has opened up to lower weight classes.
