I don't feel like surgeries should be covered under insurance as I see it as cosmetic.

If they cover that, then breast implants should also be covered.
But mine would be considered cosmetic as well, wouldn't it?

You said you had a lumpectomy so that would be corrective for you. There's a difference between a corrective surgery and an elective cosmetic procedure.

For example, a boxer may have serious damage to their nose and deviated septum that limits their breathing. Getting a nose job would be corrective. But a lot of people simply want better aesthetics and want nose jobs as well. That's elective.

But, me getting my boobs evened out would be cosmetic. I'm not going to breathe better, it's literally cosmetic which I honestly thought I couldn't cope with the thought of not getting it done. But now I just can't be bothered.

I guess we're reaching an agreement from different angles. I get I didn't CHOOSE for them to be all uneven.

For a person that suffers 3rd degree burns and is scarred all over their face, getting skin grafts to fix it can be considered "cosmetic" too. After all, fixing burn scars doesn't really affect the actual function of their skin.

But I don't think many people would agree that is purely cosmetic. It's fixing something to the baseline or baseline appearance before there was some kind of damage.

Same thing with fixing cleft lips.

Whereas getting breasts implants or a butt implant just because someone wants larger breasts or butt is cosmetic. It is subjective.

Oh, mate. I'm sorry to hear that :( But I'm sure it strengthens the skin so not completely
cosmetic?

Anyway, I know where we're both coming from. When I called my insurer to ask if I was covered for augmentation I was pretty astounded.

I completely get your point.

these kinds of stats are meaningless because prisoners are incentivized to identify as transgender for special privileges once incarcerated.

How hold on a sec.

If they claim to be a woman, that makes each and every one of them a woman.

That's the rules, bigot.

Sorry I think you misunderstand. I don't have burns - just giving it as an example.

So we are saying, based on this 92-person sample, that only 0.19% of transwomen are sex offenders?

I wanna shit on the meme because it's got a lot of problems accuracy-wise, but I'd rather not because it actually makes the point about the right freaking about nothing lol.

The rate of anything being >600 times the normal rate is significant regardless of your personal feelings on the issue.

If I was in jail for five years and all I had to do was go Corporal Clinger to get a private toilet, I'm all in.

This nonsense is fuelled by women who hate everything about themselves - especially the way they look, hence why they’re trying to reinvent what is feminine.

I’ve never seen a normal looking woman advocate for transgenderism, unless they’re doing it through fear of being ostracised or for their own personal gain.

No man will ever imitate the female body - biologically or aesthetically.

Wanting to be something you're not is something that everyone deals with.

Yes and they deal with it by curating their appearance to fit what they want to be just like trans. Tattoos to look edgy, designer clothes to look rich, plastic surgery to look like some celeb they wish they were.

Exactly. I look like an ugly bloke but deep down my sense of self is very hansom. I think women should treat me according to my identity, not the external 'reality'.

Men get hair plugs and wigs, plastic surgery, take medication etc to confront these feelings. A lot in common with trans

Yeah and no one cared until they tried forcing the public to have to pretend like they really are the opposite sex.
