We've all been there. We've all had injuries that have sidelined us and prevented us from competing in the sport that we love. Some simply rest and take the time off that the need. Others try to find other outlets of exercising that don't hurt the affected area.
I injured my ankle a week and a half ago and stupidly tried to put off going to the doctor for as long as possible. The pain became pretty intense so I finally went to the doctor today. I found out that I completely tore a ligament in my right ankle and probably broke a bone in my ankle. I have to get an MRI on Wednesday to confirm that. Now, I'm depressed about my injury. I was training for my first amateur Muay Thai fight and this pretty much ruined that. I still want to find a way to exercise so I don't get out of shape while I'm laid out. I'm in the best shape of my life right now and don't want to start completely over when I get back. So can anyone tell me some good exercises I can do to stay in shape without putting any pressure on my ankle? Thanks a lot guys. And if anyone else wants to know how to exercise with other injuries, they could post that here, too.
