Training in Thailand Questions

I remember 6 or 7 years ago, I spent 8 weeks in Nai Harn. This was before it got really crowded like it is now. Rarely saw cars, two 7-11's, no big hotels, and just 2 Muay Thai gyms Sinbi and Rawai. The last week I was there, I went over the hill to Kata. I felt like I was in an entire different world. Now Nai Harn and Kata are nearly the same. Sad...
 
Yeah, it's so drastically different in that area than it was on my first trip. It's really insane. Even staying off the beaten path a bit, you're inundated by the sounds of construction. I think I'll spend my time somewhere a little more quiet next time.
