Training both Kyokushin and Muay Thai at the same time?

offtopic, but actually Silva said in a recent interview that he still trains TKD. Even though it is no longer a major part of his training, he still go training in his old dojang whenever he can find time -although mostly just for the fun.

Don't you get the sense that he's bored with what he's done in the ring and wants to land a crazy TKD style KO?
 
it will work well together if you are really good in one of the arts and then start training the other and add different things to your arsenal to make you better.
 
The main problem the OP will encounter is that kyokushins set grading system will force him to practice newbie stuff with the other newbies.
People who already have a base to stand on tend to think this is boring and a waste of time.
Someone with experience may talk himself into getting to spar with the higher graded, but he will still have to go through the formal basics like everyone else.
