I'm at 96 Penang for the next few weeks. I'll post videos and make a guide to find the gym, like a did with Actionzone and the Boon shop.

Here is a short clip from today.

I saw on Facebook that you're staying in the Sukhumvit area. So I take it this place is nearby. I'll be back in Thailand in May, spending a few days in Bangkok.

Enjoy yourself.

Yes. I'm staying at the S.Sukhumvit Suites in Asoke. It is right at the BTS/MRT junction. It took me 5 minutes to get to the gym on the MRT.

This is what it looks like as you walk into the camp.

What is the floor made of? Is it just black sand?

Black rubber matting out of shipping containers. It is near the docks by the river.

Yes it was a mistake, but it is funny so I left it there.

I was using it as an example of the self proclaimed "Kru's" vs true master trainers in Thailand who don't go by Kru or Ajarn.

wow...you werent joking about the poor slum in BKK thing from the other thread.

i clicked page 51 and this was the thread that caught my eye.

ive been looking for this video actually! coming up with some old random gems tonight...im gonna do more random page clicking in the future.

EDIT: nvm...this wasnt the one i was looking for before. im trying to find the Tran's kickboxing one where everyone is doing MT katas with their Thai shorts and belts on.

just curious...how far is Actionzone from Lumpinee? they're not open on Sundays, are they? there are a ton of shops around the stadium, right?

Actionzone isn't very far by public transit. Get on the MRT at Lumphini station and take it to Sala Daeng, then transfer to the BTS and take it to National Stadium. When you arrive at National Stadium, follow Ryukyu's guide to Actiozone -- 5 minute walk. Total travel time less than 30 minutes. Lots of gear shops by the stadium, yes, but the prices at Actionzone are better (make sure you politely bargain, BTW). Also, MBK Shopping Center is worth stopping by before/after Actionzone -- grab a bite/drink, get some AC, do a bit more shopping haha.

Actionzone may have slightly better prices, but the gear they have in stock isn't anything fancy like the Lumpini stores.
