i think that iT is better for the ufc to release mr evans and make the fights they have to him to tyrone spong.

New blood in 205

I'd love to see spong fight but that's not the right way to go about it

Just sign Spong and keep Rashad. Just give him some favorable match ups before he retires.

He's the King of the Ring and that's where he belongs. big gloves, ropes, and corners

We already have Rumble, Spong is just too greedy

Haven't googled for an update but last I read of Spong he pursued boxing and "retired" from kickboxing because kicking hurts him or something. Taking one of his biggest weapons away and going to the UFC is career suicide at this point.

Spong said a few days ago he's open to mma, but his current focus is on boxing, him being 4-0 and aims for 10-0 to get bigger fights. But I'd approve. Sign as many exciting top strikers as possible. Worked in Pride, would work now. UFC wouldn't have to toss them to grapplers, just have some fun striking matches. Some of them will develop good defensive grappling and find mma striking range eventually, like Hunt & Cro Cop did. And when they do they become HUUGE.

He retirerd from kickboxing because they can not pay HIM any more, the same reason saki and badr hari dont fight anymore. He was Charing a MMA Carreer but ufc never came

I wish he would return to MMA, I have my doubts though. It rubbed me the wrong way a bit when he sort of bashed Ariel for not talking about him when he's not even fighting MMA right now or in the near future...

Snapping his leg in half against Saki didn't exactly help his kickboxing and MMA career either.

It's okay though. We be knocking bitches out in boxing instead.

Spong is tough as nails. The way he reacted with that leg break was amazing. Hope boxing continues to work for him.

Spong hasn't even fought a wrestler yet to see if he's a fish out of water on the ground.

Let's see that first in WSOF and then decide if he's worth a shot at the UFC.

after his leg break he's never going to go to mma again
