Toughest 2nd fight in the UFC

I think Volkman got Paulo Thiago for his first fight, and then Kampmann in his second. Pretty mean start for a 155-er trying to break into the UFC.

David Terrell

KO'd Matt Lindland in first fight. Then got brutalized by Evan Tanner in 2nd fight for the MW title. Tanner may not have had the wrestling skills of Lindland, but he was definitely a more seasoned fighter.

Carlos Newton

At UFC 17, 1st fight was Bob Gilstrap (student of Mo' Smith--Gilstrap never amounted to anything.)
2nd fight (that same night as this was the last tournament ever in the UFC--unless you count that one at one of the UFC Japan shows that SEG didn't officially endorse) was against Dan Henderson. Hendo won a split decision (Big John says that's one of the fights he definitely believed the judges got wrong.)

Lesnar fought Herring
Rampage fought Liddell
A. Silva fought Franklin

Phil Davis and Alexander Gustafsson, fought each other in both their 2nd UFC fights
