Hi, I'm a high school wrestler with a possibly torn meniscus and I'm not allowed to wrestle. But to keep fit I've just been doing calisthenics and sand bag exercises but I run out of ideas after a while. So, is there anyone who has any tough workouts I can do without further injuring myself?

With my tear I could do pretty much anything that did not require lateral movement or moving backwards. So, cycling, running, (if it does not hurt), eliptical, you could try hitting a heavy bag, but that could irritate it......swimming would be good if your school has an indoor pool.

Get an mri and figure out if it's torn or not. Meniscus only rarely repairs itself, and that's only if the tear is in the very small section of the menisci that gets blood flow. It'll just get worse over time.
