I'd like to see the second ten...where guys like Tunney, Charles, Walcott, Baer, Norton, Holyfield, Liston, etc. end up.

After all these years of seeing Ali at the top of pretty much every top 10 list, I still don't see it.

    Top 10 sure. #1? No.

Foreman ahead of Louis is criminal.

How do you judge, who fought in the better era, ie better competition? Most notable wins? KO percentage? Nature of losses?

Jack Johnson but no Tunney?? I think that might be some favoritism due to him being the first black HW champ.

How about this. One fighter held the undisputed heavyweight championship for 10+ years. The other got beaten into retirement for 10+ years.

IMHO, a veteran Sherdogger can compile a more accurate list with reasons for his/her picks. Matter of fact, I think they already have.

How about comparable opponents, ie...who fought and defeated the tougher opponents. How about win/loss ratio, number of KO's, nature of losses etc etc.....

Follow up to the readers poll, with peoples opinions about the list.

since ali hasnt fought top competition in over a year they should remove him from the top spot.
    ali is so overrated.
