Experts agree that KD was a manufactured MVP. The real MVP is in the NBA finals

Wonder how many pull ups Gretzky could do?
I read he only benched 140
I can't think of where pulling strength would matter in hockey.
what's sad is that this guy is the cream of the crop type athlete of the NHL.

No, what's sad is you believe what you just wrote.
The guy is a top prospect. His athletic abilities are therefore indicative of the average top level NHL player. It's not a bad thing necessarily since NHL doesn't require an incredible level of athleticism anyways.
Durcant couldn't bench 185 at his combine, and they do their combine when they're 2-3 years older if not more than the NHL...
MVP of NBA; what a can league.
this is why NHL is such a low-level athletic endeavor. It's basically figure skating with sticks.

Not sure why hockey fans get offended at the idea that athleticism isn't as important in the sport. It's true. Freakish strength, explosiveness, etc isn't going to help stickhandling, taking an accurate wrist shot, throwing a saucer pass, etc very much. Those skills take a lot of training and work. The fact that the athleticism prerequisite is lower means that a wider spectrum of (unique) players can exist in the league. Fewer shots of making it to the pros are eliminated at birth. Are these bad things?
Is the fact that the NBA is made up mostly of freakishly tall people a good thing? Being only ~6'2.5 will put you roughly around the 95th percentile of all white and black males. Pro basketball loses a hell of a lot of talent, skill, and whatever because a very small portion of population meets the height requirement. The Muggsy Bogues and Nate Robinson's are far and few in between.
Hockey has more physical contact than basketball. Only, football Murica style, and rugby, or a combat sport have more full contact. Heck Hockey has fighting in it.
