Top King Shinguards: New or Old?

Time has taken its toll, and about to retire my 2nd pair of top king shinguards..

Extremely happy with the protection they have given me over the years. Noticed when creeping on muaythai-fighting, that Top King his released a newer model...

Is it worth it to pick a pair up or stick to the traditional one?
