The whole boxing audience could just be me and one other guy, and as long as there was still boxing to be seen I wouldn't care.

It would affect us if Showtime lowered its boxing budget due to a lower audience, which means more PPV and less quality cards.

We lucked out this year that it wasnt the case. Their budget may be higher if they had higher viewers.

Nothing I can do about it, so again it's not something I actually care about.

They had 3 good viewerships. Spence/Bundu on Olympic weekend, Garcia/Guerrero on Fox, Thurman/Porter on CBS. All other numbers were fails.

They did so bad on NBC that NBC has publically told the press they want to get rid of PBC when the buys are over. Im surprised Fox re-newed PBC for 3 more shows, but that looks like insurance in case they dont get a UFC deal.

You know...I agree and disagree with this....I love boxing and have followed it since Hagler vs srl. And all my life, I've been use to being an avid fan of boxing with no one to talk about it ...

But i do wish I knew more people in real life who knew more boxers than Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather...

    Fuck it..
I might need to bury the hatchet with @DeJulez and watch fights with him.

Boxing is definitely bigger in Southern California than NYC. Its pretty much dead here in NYC.

The DeGale/Jack card has 0 buzz. I see more ads/billboards/buzz about UFC 208 which is going to be in Barclays.
In fact, I dont think there was a single time since 2009 where there wasnt a single UFC billboard at MSG or Time Square

I get that, I love the banter too. That's why I said one other person

It's tough talking to more casual fans, but I've actually found that people love hearing about the history if you come from the right place with it. I always use that as an opportunity to talk about the stuff people might have missed. I get a kick out of that kind of thing anyway.

Honestly if you're getting @DeJulez involved you should go to an MMA bar. Not doing that is like hanging out with Mel Gibson and not going to Jerusalem.
