Which UFC fighters, in your opinion had overrated streaks/legacies?

Include your top 3 if you can.

Penn
Shogun
Weidman

BTW, Should I feel bad for reading the title in Bisping's voice/accent ?

Ryan Bader's 5-fight win streak going into the Rumble fight.

Silva
GSP
Jones

Or if you're one of these new kids

McGregor
Ronda
PVZ

EDIT: And if you think PVZ's little streak wasn't overrated, Demetrious Johnson said she was gonna beat Joanna when he was on Rogan's podcast.

No one...

Beating competitors back to back that want the money and fame you're getting is never easy, unless you're a tremendously gifted fighter. This thread is nothing more than a congregation of haters.

By overrated I think he means people who fought hand-picked opponents who were inferior skill-wise
I agree with most of names listed except GSP
GSP fought some real killers and 50-45ed all their asses

"Ronda is a once ever athlete"
Well, she DID bring WMMA to the UFC, and she was the face of MMA as a whole for a few years. That does make her an incredibly rare fighter in that regard, and she is the only WMMA competitor to accomplish these things. Once ever, for sure.

Jones (slightly)
Cain
Ronda "gotta have his kids" Rousey

Ronda Rousey and Renan Barao. I can't think of a third right now, but there are plenty. However, these were truly labelled as P4P superstars and boy did I believe the hype.

Alot of people listed here had opponents who were inferior skill wise, including GSP. Koscheck had inferior wrestling, Jake couldn't get past the jab, BJ, Nick, and Condit had no answer for a smothering top control game...

That's what makes the great GREAT, they outskill, outclass, and outsmart their opponents, making their opponents inferior in the cage. There's nothing overrated about that.

As someone above said, no streak can truly be called overrated, since fighting in the UFC means you are consistently fighting some of the best in the world, and even considering the nature of the soprt where all it takes is one good punch, all significant streaks deserve some note.
However, on topic, i feel Matt Brown's 7 fight win streak in recent times was a bit overrated considering the general level of opposition, and Robbie was too big of a step up, and he has been faultering against the top guys since.

Apart from streaks, if we talk about legacies, i feel Couture's is a bit overrated. I mean he got offered title shots left and right. I mean, its funny to think after he won the belt at UFC 28, he could not put together more than a 2 fight UFC win streak till he beat James frickin Toney at UFC 118, and still somehow got 4 title shots during that time.

This is all true but Rogan meant is as a once ever athletically gifted person.

Overrated streaks isn't just about the level of competition or how long the streak was, it's also very much about the hype. And the hype about the people I listed was ridiculous. GSP maybe less so because he got knocked out by Matt Serra and that just makes the fact that he went on to beat KO artists consistently even more impressive.
