Who are the 10 best fighters from Pride during its existence? (1997-2007)

Names I thought should be included (in no particular order):

    - Emelianenko Fedor (long-time HW champ and undefeated in Pride)
    - Dan Henderson (2 division champ)
    - Minotauro Nogueira (HW champ)
    - Mirko Cro Cop (2006 Pride OW Champ)
    - Mauricio Shogun (2005 MW GP winner)
    - Takanori Gomi (LW champ)
    - Wanderlei Silva (longest reigning MW champ)
    - Mark Coleman (2000 GP winner)
    - Kazushi Sakuraba
    - Igor Vovchanchyn

    Honorable Mention: Chocolate L :D

Accomplishments and being the best are two different categories my friend.

    Fedor
    Shogun

Easily the two best fighters to come from Pride.

But accomplishments you basically nailed it.

Just lol at Wand above Hendo, Nog and Shogun. Him and CC don't belong in the same sentence with those guys.

Wanderlei Silva was to Pride what Chuck Liddell was to UFC.
    Except Wanderlei Silva was better.

Wand had a reign of terror during his unbeaten streak
CC was known to be the most feared striker at the time

Now their status as an ATG may have declined further below, but witnessing it first hand back then was similar to Anderson (Wand) or JDS's run (CC, since they both have lost but still always remained as a top contender)

shogun has seriously underperformed since he came from pride.

he might have been one of the best in pride, but once he left and went on to fight for the world's premiere org, he didnt show well.

I'd put Minotauro ahead of Wand and Crocop ahead of Sakuraba. Other than that, I agree with everything.

Lol, PRIDE was the worlds premiere org when Shogun was there. I agree he under performed but he did get the UFC belt.

  18. Bet Me Guest

Most wins in PRIDE - Wand
Most KO's in PRIDE - Wand
    Most title defenses - Wand
    03 GP winner
    4 year reign as champ

yeah, he most certainly does belong mentioned in the top 3.

And I'm ok with Nog being 2 and Wand being 3 but for me personally it's the other way around.
