Exactly. And Rich franklin/Rumble who he fought both at 195(197 rumble) are larger than Moose too who makes MW.

I don't really see GSP not moving to MW as a big negative, if he had it would obviously have helped his legacy but he would clearly have been undersized. In that respect I think Anderson not moving up to LHW from around 2008 onwards is a bigger issue as champs like Rashad, Machida and Shogun were not significantly larger than him if they were larger at all.

GSP retiring off the back of a controversial decision is definitely a negative for me, his angling for what seems like easier fights more recently I spose depends on your view of him. Nothing wrong with an ex champ picking out some fights at the tail end of his career but if your pushing the idea he's still the best WW then yes it doesn't look good.
 
GSP fought the best of the best in the welterweight division for his entire career, he didn't duck anyone.
 
Tate ducked Nunes a year ago or so and ultimately was rewarded with a title shot for doing so just to hand her belt over to Nunes in the first defense
Ronda and Cyborg ducked each other

GSP actually tried to add weight to fight at MW, the Shields fight made him realize he was too small and couldn't do it, and the idea was abandoned.

Nick didn't look like a juggernaut at WW, he had an almost skinny frame with plenty of room to add bulk on. Plus his style doesn't benefit much from having a size/weight advantage like GSP#s does.

I love how certified dumb shertards are.

Fighting up a weight class does not always mean tougher or better. Fighting Cote at MW is not better than fighting Rory at WW even if dumb fans think that moving up a weight class to fight Cote as a MW must be tougher because it is up a weight class.

GSP fought tougher comp than Nick Diaz for all of his career. No one would deny that regardless of the weight class the fights took place in. So to say GSP took the pussy way and Diaz did not when GSP fought the better and tougher guy is just stupid. IT is just shertard level stupid.

You're purposely being a prick and comparing GSP to Cote. Why dont you say fighting Silva or Jacare is worse than fighting GSP?

Weight class jumping does matter if you're facing the top competition at that higher weight.

Say what you want about his competition, Condit almost fucked him up and Silva would fuck GSP up too so what are you getting at? Dude gogo'd Gomi in pride which is a bigger deal than someone like you understands. He ko'd Lawler at 19 he's not a newcomer.
 
I can't stand GSP but Silva wasn't in his weight class so you can't consider it a duck. It looks bad because he was interested, then not interested, and started making tons of excuses as to why the fight didn't happen.

Silva ducked 205 by fighting there 4 times. Makes sense.
 
TIto Ortiz ducked Chuck, but I wasn't paying attention to that rivalry.

Anderson Silva being very picky about who he fights, he didn't want to fight Weidman. He said Weidman needed more seasoning. He wanted Rich Franklin 3 or Cung Le.

I also think pulling Stephan Bonnar out of retirement(when tons of dangerous fights at LHW....Texiera, Machida, Phil Davis, Jones etc) showed where they thought his abilities were.

He was willing to fight big guys like Griffin & Bonnar, but not the dangerous ones. That was Silva's last actual victory in MMA.

Ronda Rousey. She couldn't last weeks without verbally attacking Cyborg, but for whatever reasons she refused to fight her. She could beat Mayweather, most male BW"S & Cain on the right night though
